Some of my best fun in gaming was being a vampire and decided i wanted to be strong enough to survive in the sun. Only to figure out that regardless of how much hp i can regenerate, you cant get rid of the blurring effect from the sunlight and it ruined it for me. So instead i became a werewolf and relentlessly annihilated every town i came across

That's How MC Work
Vampirism in morrowind was cool because it felt so out of left field. It wasn't just a cool buff for your edgy donut steal OC, but a radical gameplay changer as a fuckload of people would refuse to speak to you or even try to kill you on sight. Same with lycanthropy.
ОтветитьThat oblivion one hit me hard XD
Running from sunlight was a constant challenge. A couple of times I walked outside without thinking about, wondered why my character was making 'oof' sounds while I wasn't paying attention, and then suddenly remembered when she keeled over and died.
What is the name of the movie at the start ?
ОтветитьHonestly being affected by the night and day cycle in a game where you fast travel frequently just does not work.
they should have made it so that maybe you get a passive heal dot inside and at night or a cloudy day. but in sunlight you don't + the extra weakness to fire.
none of this other bs
I actually like the punishing fire damage in oblivion, I just wish the perks were as good as they were in Skyrim. It should really be great powers at a great cost.
ОтветитьI remember when one of my army buddies was saying we could fly as a vampire in Dawnguard. It was the kid on the playground claiming to know gaming secrets all over again, except we were in our mid-20s.

ОтветитьDaggerfall is the one of the four that I've never tried playing as a vampire. Is it any good?
ОтветитьI unfortunately haven't played Daggerfall, but damn, hearing about vampirism in it makes me REALLY want to.
I scarcely remember Morrowind.
Oblivion vampires were quite powerful, but basically died instantly in sunlight. Very accurate to various vampire tropes. Unfortunately, what killed the experience for me was the bug that occasionally made the player's face default to the standard male Imperial. It would happen even if the character was a gal. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience well enough.
Skyrim vampires are meh, even counting the Vampire Lord thing. I wish being a volkihar vampire was more lore accurate - such as waterbreathing and (in regards to Survival mode) the ability to ignore being cold. Yea, sure, there's mods for that, but it's all still kinda... meh.
I don't know about lycanthropy in most Elder Scrolls games. I can't remember how it was in Morrowind. In Skyrim, at least, it's very fun. The only thing I dislike about lycanthropy is that I wish the player could at least loot stuff in beast form. There's a bunch of nice lightweight mods that do that sort of thing though, so that's nice.
ESO is interesting for vampirism and lycanthropy, but ultimately just 'alright.'
What is the morrowind footage from?
Ответитьnothing beats trying to heal yourself from vampirism in oblivion, since you cant fast travel while taking damage (which for a vampire means being outside) and you cant wait while trespassing (which in the nights just means being inside) so you pretty much cant reach that lady who lives so far from everything if you try to fast travel it'd become day and youd burn outside her house because you cant wait for it to become night while trespassing
sorry I just had to get that out of my system. I had to be so precise on time so it wont be day at any time of my travels
all Daggerfall Unity needs
is to have Jeremy Soule soundtrack
Will never forget getting vampirism in Oblivion and looking up what you had to do to cure it
ОтветитьBeing a vampire in Oblivion is hellish. Unlike in Skyrim you can actually die just standing in the sun and it gets worse the more vampirism progresses. And the quest to get rid of vampirism is terrible.
ОтветитьDaggerfall vampires are op as fuck
ОтветитьVampirism in previous games actually felt like you were giving up something in return for something powerful (more so in oblivion since there was no werewolf) but for me being a werewolf was better. In Skyrim theres like no downsides besides fire weakness+ dragon= bad time.
ОтветитьI like how vampiric Homer can not fly just like the Skyrim's Dragonborn.
ОтветитьFun fact. In oblivion, if you progress vampirism to the stage where you start taking damage in the sun, stand in the sun and wait an hour. You die.
Loading that save through the auto save will crash your game.
Quick saving before you wait in the sun and having no main save for that character will hardlock that character and crash your game everytime you load that quick save or auto save.
Oblivion is the most realistic and the dumbest.
ОтветитьI'm really hoping for some more Vampire powers in ES6
Ответитьonly thing i hated about oblivion vampires was how ugly it made the player
ОтветитьI remember RPing a character in Morrowind that "accidentally" became a vampire. The whole experience was so unpleasant that I resolved never do it again. You lose nearly all access to fast travel, and most merchants, trainers, and NPCs in general won't talk to you. The only factions that don't COMPLETELY hate your guts are the Mages Guild and House Telvanni, though any quests for those factions that require talking to non-faction NPCs are impossible to complete. Basically 80-85% of the game becomes closed off to you.
Ответить"Your vampire blood boils in the sunlight."

'Sure, buddy, sure.'
My Daggerfall Vampire became godlike but it took time, for so long just going outside was a death sentence and then I finally got enough magic to create a regeneration spell that countered the damage caused by daylight, I called it "Sunscreen". By the end I could jump over city walls when the gates were closed and even reach the top of the fighters guild tower from ground level, I was immune to all magic and could only be killed by a single hit because I would regenerate damage immediately.
ОтветитьWhat’s the first vampire from?
ОтветитьIve never seen the vampire clans in morrowind. It adds to the immersion for me since it makes sense that they're very secretive and that you have make an effort to look for them
ОтветитьDaggerfall did so many amazing things to have bogged itself down in the copypaste world they made.
ОтветитьWhat about the vampires in Elder Scrolls Online?
ОтветитьModded skyrim vampirism is the best
ОтветитьI was like what do you mean I love playing a vampire!
Then I remembered that I haven't played vanilla in years
What do you edit with? This is pretty nice
ОтветитьWait, was the Skyrim clip with or without Survival Mode (or Frostfall mod) running?
ОтветитьThe Daggerfall memes are giving me life
ОтветитьHomer got rid of yellow skin by his cholesterol being sucked out... So That's why they're all yellow
Ответитьin Oblivion, becoming a Vampire used to be a way to play the game Hardcore without making every Enemy 1-shot you or turning them into damage spunges, and you'd legit just die if you touched sunlight. But then IGN-Kids cried loud enough and got bottlefed an update to remove that feature.
ОтветитьMan Fuk vampirism
Lycanthropy is better
This is especially funny since I also jumped off the Windhelm bridge thinking vampire flight was a thing. You're floating! You think you'd at least float down!
ОтветитьThe chad Daggerfall vampire who can regain unlimited magicka due to developer oversight.
Ответитьi didn't even see DaggerFall in the title
ОтветитьAnd this is why I prefer to be a werewolf. I mean, at least I can go out at the daytime and be immune to diseases!
ОтветитьWhat about ESO ?
ОтветитьStill have PTSD from becoming a vampire in Oblivion and trying to cure it
