When we were in AZ, I was so scared Darbi would step on a cactus that I kept her on a very short lease. I don't think she liked that much LOL. Love that you're exploring around. I do wish we had got to explore some ghost towns or old mines while there. Heck, I would have liked to seen more cactus. I don't feel like I saw enough lol
ОтветитьGood pie and time spent conversing with friends. Sounds pretty fantastic to me. Definitely interesting to think that generals, soldiers, and tanks were in the exact same spots as you
Ответить🥧 pie ? did someone say pie🤩 comraderi is awesome 👍 happy trails to y'all
Ответитьthe wildest tracks I ever saw was in death valley, they were wagon ruts! always enjoy your videos! thanks
ОтветитьSome folks have drug, alcohol, shopping addictions. Mine is pie!
HAHAHA! Only allow myself to buy a piece, never whole.
Maybe open up "THE PIE SHOP" in Quartsite during the snow bird/vagabond season?
I enjoyed this interesting episode 🎉
ОтветитьThe Cholla cactus also known as the jumping cactus or the one you pointed out is sometimes called a teddy bear cactus. All of the needles are barbed. Going in you hurts but pulling out OUCH. So many beautiful things to see, should be a gorgeous spring. Pie, good friends, sunrises and sunsets. Take care and keep showing us the beauty of our country.
ОтветитьMan that sure is nice that people get together and have a good time ! Eating pie .
ОтветитьAnother completely perfect video!!! Perfect camp trip ! Enjoy 😊!
Ответить3rd armored
ОтветитьRefreshing episode! I too have left multiple bling all over the USA and Europe! Linda is lucky! Now go buy a lottery ticket!
ОтветитьJeff has been traveling with the Campulance Man...If fact i think he is set up in the same camp ....Was wondering why we didnt see him in the video...I know he has been sick...Anywho, hope you enjoyed the pie...Travel safe, be well !!!
ОтветитьThe strawberry 🍓 rhubarb pie with Tillamook ice-cream was most decent for 5.99
ОтветитьVery interesting! Thanks for the tour!
ОтветитьEnjoyed the walk, nice to see your ankle doing better Linda. The WWII tank tracks are something neat, about 80 years later and still there. Would be something I could maybe convince my son to look for if I could get him over there. He very much disliked his last trip to the desert, too hot. Stay safe and healthy.
ОтветитьI was so afraid after she broke her leg and we had a political wind of change and fuel and food prices went crazy that you would not continue the trips/videos. Happy for you both. And the new friend that brought the pies...seems like a great guy.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьBloody turretheads, lol. Back in the 70s we did some exercises with mob of tanks & APCs when we were retraining from jungle to continental warfare. We were the enemy and they gave us old WWII studebaker trucks. We went over much tougher ground than that and we trounced to armoured boys. The old studs were brilliant to drive.
Cheers guys, stay safe and thanks.
My brother spent 30+ years out there in the desert testing tanks for the military. In the KOFA mountains east of you theres deer and desert big horn sheep.
Also can find where the native Americans lived. Bow hunted for deer there during the late Dec. season. After looking at pine trees all year the desert is a nice break.
Thanks!
ОтветитьAKA Teddy Bear Cholla.
ОтветитьPatton used a lot of the desert for training troops for the war in North Africa.

ОтветитьGreat content, starting with the pie (:
ОтветитьSomething to try maybe ....you both do a lot of hiking and biking for your age ... check out your resting heart rate over a few days and record it then next fall when weather turns and you both slow down see how much that number improves ... the lower the resting heart rate the stronger your heart is ... and better your blood chemistry will be ... you might like what you see ..
ОтветитьGreat narrated video! Besides the rock, how much gold did you take home? LOL. 😎
ОтветитьI CANT WAIT to get there! Just picked up my Cargo T comped on the dual axle but think I got a screaming deal! I can mod later if I'm that far off-road 💯👍
ОтветитьTHIS is just what I need. Dry, warm, sun, sand, and walking 👍💯 with NO pressure from outside forces!
ОтветитьPatton's Desert Training Area. So much history. Last year, the wife and I drove out to Camp Bouse, then we drove over to Desert Palms near Joshua Tree. Patton was from SoCal so he volunteered the area for training for the invasion of North Africa. Rice Army airfield isn't too far away in CA, as well as the memorial to the internees in Poston. There's a Patton museum somewhere off CA62, I believe. I need to find it sometime.
ОтветитьThank you Rick and Linda for taking us along! However, the pie feast compelled me to run up to the store at 9:30pm and get a frozen Dutch apple pie. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThirty years from now with your grandson on your knee and he asked what did you do during the great WW2. Well you won't have to say I shoveled shit in Louisiana. Funny Patton line I always remembered from the movie.
ОтветитьI am amazed at the lack of litter! It seems you can hardly go anywhere without seeing the junk careless people leave behind. That's nice to see!
ОтветитьWe still haven't made to the Q...may try to hit the Spring Bloom.
QUESTION? are there areas without so many ATVs running around??
We would love to be able to meet up with you in the desert . But we were told that the ice there on the lakes doesn’t get very thick. So there goes my ice fishing for the winter. The ice here is 2 feet thick already but we are having such terribly cold weather. This next week we will be having a good winter thaw But then back down into the deep freeze. We hope you two are enjoying the nice warm weather. Hope to see you in Montana this summer.
ОтветитьThanks for taking a 6 Mile Walk I needed the exercise😂😉
ОтветитьI just subscribed to your channel..I love it I want to live there you guys are amazing and beautiful people ❣️
ОтветитьHi there! We were watching your one video when you entered an abandoned train car and it was filled with tons of bird waste. We were worried for your health walking in there and were wondering if you ended up getting any sickness from being in there. We love your videos! Stay safe!
ОтветитьThank you Rick and Linda for taking us with you, We enjoy your trips…
ОтветитьSorry I forgot to comment sooner. Watched this vid when you posted it! Couldn't believe you go winter in AZ to fall prey to more PIE! These viewers of yours obviously are heavily influenced by your pastry behaviors!😂You were so fortunate to have neighbors from home to share pie with. Really enjoyed your walk around the desert.
ОтветитьQuartzsite isn't the prettiest part of the desert but interesting for sure.
ОтветитьThanks for the walk about .😁 👍
ОтветитьYou speculate “tank tracks.”
I speculate “Cat tracks.”
You are walking among several claims, after all. And miners use Cats.
Didn't make it West this so you prompted good memories!
Usually Lefty (and David 😉) is in video when I see Bear and Jeff!
Amazing scenery😊 it was quite interesting information about the tanks. Linda I feel your pain🦶 🤕 glad to see you doing so well 😊 thanks for another great video guys.
ОтветитьBear! I know Jeff! Not personally but from David and Lefty's videos!
ОтветитьReally glad I found your Channel enjoy a lot of the same things you do and it's nice to see new places I can go and explore
ОтветитьThank you.
Ответитьthe Sherman tank was eight feet, seven inches wide, so it could be easily transported by rail over long distances faster
ОтветитьAnd that big dog was looking at the owner wondering when he gets some pie .
