True story

I'm an African-American, and I'm attracted to Asians (Vietnamese,Japanese,Chinese,Singaporean, etc)

In my High School Senior Year, there was an Asian (believe she was a Chinese or Japanese) student in my first two classes that I was attracted

On Valentine's Day, I sent a note asking to be my valentine, but unfortunately, she responded, saying she was already taken

Day after Valentine's Day, most likely because I actually took the rejection well and respected her choice, she gave me a pack of Trident gum and was the first person to come to me to sign my white shirt near the end of the school year meaning I did something right

As of typing , I always wondered if I did that to an asian girl in school, what it'll be like in the future

It's not traditional it's racism don't lie, they're backwards & bad, stop capping.

The problem is the parents not the person they're meeting, don't change for them, stop simping. Patient for what they're backwardness, then why bring him into having to deal with your parents mental issues. Not worth the headache.

Great video, but Rice, stop going out of your way to explain your parents' ways. They have every right to be hesitant with the situation AND tolerance/acceptance works both ways. If you want to get with someone from a traditional family (of ANY race) YOU must also tolerate and accept the ways of the parents. 2 way street. Only difference is that THEY are the elders and THEY are the ones that should be submitted to at first. That's just how it goes.

This video was really a breath of fresh air for me. It has motivated me to further pursue interracial dating (and perhaps marriage if it gets to that point) if I'm having trouble with finding a woman from my own group to be with. For me, despite any obstacles that may get in the way (destroying cultural stereotypes, having to be approved by the woman's family, etc.), interracial dating is certainly a great way to explore more options.
