Can you not destroke or got to smaller bore to convert 450 to 350

One more member of the choir here. I have ridden all the Yamaha models since 2013 and would LOVE a YZ 350F.

Wouldnt it be better to put a smaller 350cc barrel on a 450. That is guaranteed to handle the jandle and be reliable

I won’t get a Ktm I’ve got 2023 WR 250f it’s fully uncorked competition ECU and it’s CCU and I love mine it’s basically a yz with 6 gears right . And I’ve got the 2024 yz250x and a 2001 yz i will always be team blue

Absolutely nothing wrong with the air forks read the manual and learn how it works and what to do to get what you want out of it and it works perfectly fine. I’ve had kyb Showa stock and both with factory connection and currently stock air forks 21-22 on 125t and 250t and 250sxf and 450sxf and it’s fuckin amazing super easy to tune and adjust and super easy to understand feelings is excellent, yeah it’s not ass plush or pillowy as a spring but when you’re fast even springs are stiff af so it’s really not that crazy different I love my air forks there’s no need to dump the cost of a entire bike just to have spring forks on them.

Kawasaki would propbibly do it before yamaha

Make it a 300, add estart and counter balance it.
They'd sell every one.

I got a YZ250 semi tricked up rode mates KXF450 2023 with pipe and tune the rode mates 2022 KTM 350 pipe and tune man it felt so light and nimble where the green machine just felt outa control wheeling wheel spining snaking every where trying to throw ya off outa every corner ,KTM brake turn in gas out nice little wheelie all in a straight line puttting manageble power down ,heaps of grunt ,3 seconds a lap faster on the 350 than the 450 with the YZ in the middle ,450 arm pump concentration gone anxity kicks in just too much wears you out where the KTM is fun to ride and not tiring and enjoyable ,fuck 450s are traumatic to ride and im 90 kg fit to ,gotta get a 350

My 2020 350fx is hands down my favorite dirtbike of all time.

If Honda and Kawasaki built and sold a modern 500cc two stroke motocross bike, they would sell out every unit they would make. If Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki built a 250 and 300 two stroke bike, they would sell a ton of units. Two stroke machines are heavily sought after, especially the big bores. I believe that if the japanese brands would offer the 250 and 300 two strokes, they would draw more business to those people who are brand loyal. I am a Honda guy and I wish I could get a new 500cc two stroke and would love a 300 two stroke Honda for off road.

I freaking hated my 2018 air forks. None stop messing with them and they just never felt like you could trust them

Ktm350 is awesome but suspension is really bad that's y yamy people are yamy people .
But I agree 100% if yamy built a 350 wow I would be on board
In saying that I'm racing a 24 yz450f and it's the best bike iv raced / owned

Yamy suspension is hands down the best stock package and dosnt cost a fortune to set up

yamaha is dumb af, they make a R3 so theres most of the motor just tinker around with some parts and BOOM you have a motor for the dirtbike

Unless the AMA changes the displacement rules and the bike manufactures agree, it's not going to happen.

Don't ride motocross, but just from an off-road pov don't the 250cc MX bikes have tons of power? I get that the 450's are too stiff and too dangerous for amateurs, but the 250's make like 40hp. How much do you really need to go round a full size motorcross track recreationally? For example, KTM's SX-F 250-350-450 lineup is dynoed at 40, 50, and 55hp respectively.

Is it not just about the peak power? Is it low end torque or weight or frame stiffness that is making the big difference between a 450 and 350 rideability?

I've been dreaming of a YZ350F on/off road for years.

Besides entering the four stroke to the Supercross world they aren’t exactly innovative they where the last to fuel inject. They just keep models around longer and don’t get rid of things.

Said a year ago , say it again YZ450 is beautiful, works for me, ya want a 350 , buy 1. I personally love HP & long jeopardy from a 450, because I can’t ride hard enough to hurt it, but I love the fun factor.

I absolutely hate the Austrian bikes. Something about the bike just doesn’t feel comfortable to me. Might be steel frame or might be the air forks idk. I love almost all Japanese bikes except Kawi

I have a 2021 yz450 and it has broken down twice now an sitting for awhile and I owe on it unfortunately. And I don’t know what to do with it! Bad ass bike but it wasn’t worth buying honestly

I wanna hear from the boy's, im mainly a 2 stroke cat but my brother has a 21 crf250r. Im not very versed in the 4 stroke engine maintenance intervals except a little while ago everyone was saying the 4 strokes are only good for 90hrs. So id like to know How long are you guys running these motors before you start tearing them down and building them back up?

Hell with 350s the japs needs bring back the 2 strokes again. European bikes are expensive to keep. Not everyone wants to spend money on that

False - I've had two brand new KTMs and I'll never own one again.

I don’t mind KTM, but they are sensitive, and their parts are very expensive.- That’s one of the biggest reasons.

Even a YZ 300 it doesn't need to be 350. The Sherco 300 is an awesome bike.

I hope Suzuki is the first Japanese manufacturer to release a 350. Complete with a redesigned kickstarter specific to the 350.

they share the same frame, why can't someone make a 350 top to transform the 250F to a 350f they make the custom 500s.

In 92 we put a 360 kit on a YZ250 and it was a beast!!!
