This Emulation Drive is INCREDIBLE! (12tb of RETRO GAMES)

I do my own emulation setups, so not for me, but I’ll admit it’s pretty cool. I can see making ur own setup a bit too much for some, so it makes sense there. I’d just recommend anyone who gets one to look into the types of games u like and eliminating a lot the rom clutter. Navigating through full collections is a pain.

Being a mechanical drive is a turn-off, understanding that drive that size in an SSD would surely be unafforadable, i'd rather have 1/4th of the space and games on an SSD... I've had way to many mechanical drives fail irrecoverably.

if possible when you do these could you give us like 10 seconds of nfl blitz for arcade/mame so many times these are not configured right on harddrives and i'm curious if it works right away on this harddrive. thanks for the video

Can you plug play this on a TV?

I assume that the people who made this just used commonly available "ROM" files, rather than go to the trouble of ripping all the games themselves. This leads me to two questions;

1. Do they have the more obscure PS1 games? In my experience, four of the most difficult to find are;

Macross Digital Mission VF-X (Japanese)
Macross VF-X 2 (Japanese)
Paris Marseille Racing (French)
Paris Marseille Racing II (French)

2. There are a bunch of "bad" PSP ISO dumps floating around. Some are only minor technical errors, but some are more serious. The cracking groups put out a series of fix packs for all the incorrect dumps. The Renascene website notes which dumps are considered bad, along with the CRC values for both the bad and good (patched) ISO files. Did they make sure to include the patched ISO files? For example, the USA version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories by Start2 is bad. It has a CRC of F5B9DF28, while the fixed version is F705A610.

I had this same idea back in 2006 when hyperspin was in development i actually made about of the boxs and name art for a lot of the games/ systems back then . I made alot of video intros as well for the gamecube .

What I’d really like to see is a relatively small handheld device WITH 1080p hdmi output like the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro or something, but with this interface and the game collection up to PS2, Gamecube and Wii (so not incl PS3 or X360) that runs everything perfectly.

Sadly, that’s still quite a long time away I’m afraid…

is there a HDD like this that can be connected to an Atgames Ultimate Legends arcade Cabinet ? Is there one where you can transfer these games to the cabinet ?

My NVIDIA GEFORCE has a directory where I can add folders that have games so that it can scan and optimize them for the best possible gaming performance. Can i add this whole hyperspin folder and drive to it or will that cause problems???

The "12T" is misleading. It's actually 6000GB ... so 6TB. Still a good deal, just thought i'd point it out.

I'm glad to see your channel getting more traction as you do really good reviews. The reservation that some people have about these drives is if any kind of spyware is hidden on it so it would be nice if someone could do a deep dive into the files and see if there's anything like that.

what happens if it gets bad sectors ?

Are the ROMs well organized in folders? Not really looking to use this for the Hyperspin interface, more to save me the trouble of finding things to throw on my Steam Deck and other machines and just copy what I want to them. Mostly PS1, PS2, Gamecube and Dreamcast. I've heard some people suspect this device of viruses, and generally think Batocera is better.
