a month later and the player count is dying off again :/
a big update will possibly bring players back but im honestly not sure what kind of money will be put into this husk, and even less sure if any gained player count can be kept

This game is dead!

It looks like it did before and feels like it did before. Dont really get why they need a name change, but if it helps the player count then im happy.

Last time we properly saw the Japanese was Rising Storm when Banzai Charges were horrifying as the US forces. Since you had to focus on the Japanese shooting you while charging and throwing grenada's

i love competition. gives us more gems to play and enjoy. i would like to buy and try both now.

Squad never has any servers up much less populated, how do you actually play?

There are 2 other major battles they could add that would fit with troops already in existence they would be "Battle of Anzio".. "Battle of Monte Cassino".

this game has been on my Wishlist for well over a year. I've got approx. 500 hours into HLL and 100 on Squad as of writing this.
I think Squad 44 might just of been the thing that pushes me to pick this up finally. What's it got over HLL?

I loved squad, didnt like the recent changes and the optimization just went out the the door. Will see how squad 44 turns out.

People forget why this game failed in the first place. It was BORING. Putting a new name and update isn't gonna convince me to come back to it. We'll see where it goes in a year. Hell let loose beat PS almost every single day for a long time.

be prepaired for the rebranding of several live service games, seeing this did revice the community a little bit.

adding Narva would be fantastic opportunity to bring in finnish Continuation war that ended during 1944. It would be something new and refreshing for WWII theme and set them apart from competetion.

does it still have the gore and will it keep it? that was always a cool feature

And they have dedicated squads so garbage potato members dont hog all the vehicles like on Squad 🙂

... and he didn't even mention the Battle of Cassino, one of the main battles of '44... :D

they could add the eastern european maps in general too, yeho and gorodok and such but with ww2 changes since that would make sense despite them not being real.

maybe they could expand the battles a bit further north?

sorry but bf5 pacific update saved the franchise at that time and is still massive played

I tried it and i got stuck on 35fps. horrible experience

Pelelieu started in September not November- by November Marines had already left.

I only just got Squad though I had played it before. And if We could get a WW2 game with the squad resource system. It'd easily beat out HLL to me. since that game always end up as a slog fest and Die/respawn cycles

I would kill for a single player mode. Sometimes I just dont wanna play a full game of MP.

I'm very glad to see this. Post Scriptum was basically squad ww2 for a long time, until squad done a major UI update. Hopefully this game will follow suit. Looking forward to see what happens.

BF V ain’t that bad anymore

So few servers to play though. And those that are playable so few using mics.

I had problems with admins the few times I played on PS servers. I love the games but the admins would freak out on me over trivial shit, not give me time to fix it and boot me from the server in the middle of a game where I'm leading a squad. To be clear, the problem was I had try to set up my keybinds similar to project reality and had mis-bound the squadleader to squadleader chat. Communicating with my squad the entire time, but an admin asked me in SL chat if I had a mic, gave me 30 seconds to answer while total ignoring chat, and then kicked me. It happened twice before I figured out what it was, but both times the Admin kicked me when things were really getting fun, it totally destroyed my enthusiasm. 22 year old kids given their first taste of power I'm sure did a number on the player count of that game, especially given a lot of the advanced mechanics.

Hell let loose is optimized terribly for the graphics it has i have better fps then squad

Naming the game specifically 44 to restrict to only the battles of 44 is incredibly stupid

I played it for a few hours already, and im happy to get back into it.. there are still a few old bugs and glitches that i wouldve loved to be seen fixed with this new update as well but im sure it will all come in due time! see yall on the battlefield.

God I hope they do the Pacific theatre, my favourite theatre of war
