Ответитьonce in ketosise, is this the time to go carnivore?.... im addicted to sugar and anticipate significant withdrawl symptoms if going carnivore right away.. i have maybe 30 lbs bodyfat to lose. weight 170. 5'6. my frame is moderately muscular. i do theraband training and walk a block or two at a time. im 70 male with partial leftside disablity from tia stroke 17 yrs ago. i walk slow, cant run but can do some cardio type sitting standing exercises ... i have egpa autoimmune disease. i want to decrease inflamation and get off of the prescription meds as much as possible. thanks

Yesterday I got my keto-mojo. I checked a fasting sample and had glucose of 99 and ketone 0.5. I was thinking the ketones are too low.
I’ve been trying to get into a good ketone range since Dec 19. I have lost 10 lbs but never knew if I hit ketosis.

ОтветитьI' disagree with you using a word "modern diet" in doesn't matter ancient or modern day. human body mainly relies on carb. Our body don't want to use fat for energy, It's difficult and it's a saving food for emergency. That's why many people when they start keto diet especially those who are vegan or vegetarian with ITP : thrombocytopenia could get super exhaust and heart failure. And its crazy if you even asked people on ketosis to do excerize when they already have keto flu. Even the dr that i know told people not to excersize during ketogenic. Even the bodybuilder people dont have power to lift weight. You could have heart failure from that. I know some 19 years old voluptuous girl who wanted to have shape like a runway fairytale model and she had ketogenic die two weeks and died. When she died her body was not even in the level of malnutrition person or anaroxia.
ОтветитьOkay yeah I did the whole keto thing about 15 years ago and the first time was absolutely brutal, two days of misery. I was doing a program on and off every 2-3 weeks. Finally I would do an entire 1.5 hour full body weight circuit workout... Then I would have a creatine protein shake with high glucose grape juice immediately afterwards to spike my insulin and drive my remaining blood glucose into my muscles. An hourish later go home have some coconut oil, go to bed and wake up in ketosis with zero pain. So usually less than 10 hours. I do believe your body also learns how to go in and out of ketosis and switches easier, like a conditioned response thing.
Great video ketosis works, getting ready to give it another shot need to drop 30-40 lbs.
Yes one more thing to expedite fat loss, I would do cardio 1 hour + (bike ride) after having a cup of unsweetened coffee, and a couple of 85mg baby aspirins as soon as I woke up and it was quite amazing.
Honestly this post is kind of nonsense.
Why? Well if you’re starting keto or any diet the mindset shouldn’t be “fast” as in quick results. It should be “this is a marathon not a race” meaning your change in mindset should be consistency overtime to lose the weight, get healthy and keep it off moving forward for a healthy lifestyle.
This “get into ketosis fast” is plain click bait. Getting into ketosis can take between 1-3 days. Everyone’s body responds differently and you definitely don’t need to “do sprints”.
What if you have knee issues or back issues and can’t sprint? Or if you’re really heavy and can’t move so quickly?
Keto absolutely works. However, my point is mindset. Don’t worry about how fast you get into ketosis but rather take the steps to ensure you’ll get there.
1. Fasting is extremely helpful. Day 1: Start your fast after dinner, maybe around 7pm and don’t eat for 16 hours.
2. Cut the carbs out completely
Day 2- focus on healthy fats. Add Mct oil, protein, pink salt and drink plenty of water l!!!
Go for a long walk. Get your steps in.
By day 2 or 3 you’ll. Be in ketosis
For someone just starting a keto journey, the urine test strips are the most cost effective way to gauge your progress. As your body starts to make ketones it initially doesn’t know what to do with them so you pee them out. I find it’s a great indicator to know that the process is working. Blood ketone meters are expensive which can be a barrier in these times.

ОтветитьWell I fast 16 to 18 hr daily, eat only good fats, walk over 10k a day plus 2 strength workouts a week, sleep min 8 hr a night, limit very low carbs, drink my water. I take no meds. I challenge you to tell me why i cannot lose a single lb but not gain lb either. I am most frustrated. I have beem doing this for entire 2023 year. I canceled my vacation because of lack of losing weight. So , please tell me why in hell am i the only person of my category cannot lose a single lb. Thank you.

ОтветитьCarbohydrates are burned first because our bodies are smarter than us. Todays food system with all it being processed, in comparison to our ancestors, we are not designed to eat all these carbs, especially these processed simple carbs. Carbs = inflammation, blood sugar spikes leading to insulin resistance. These are just a few reasons why the body chooses to burn carbs/glucose first, because too much is dangerous to our physical body. It’s first choice (carbs/glucose) because it’s trying to get rid of them, or at least bring them to an appropriate level. When they say it’s the bodies (PRIMARY FUEL) (PRIMARY) shouldn’t be looked at as a better fuel. Unfortunately todays diet (SAD) has the majority of people over dosing to a dangerous level.

ОтветитьNot sure what do you mean by ketosis but after 12 hours of not eating I have tested the presence of cetosis in the urine which means my body is burning fat to function. There is nothing magic, just dont eat too much and wait 12 hours.
