SHEESH!!! WTF SHE SAID! I'm hella mad I missed this episode the first time around. The "toxic tools" can be a workshop all by itself. So glad this necessary work is happening. F-Boy Slayer!!! I need that t-shirt... real bad. I appreciated how they offered a Bay Area centered analysis in the Bay- Vegas sex trade discussion and how it preys on youth, and thus sex trafficking becomes THEE conversation when discussion Bay Area sex work PERIOD. I also often think about how Asian sex slavery built SF Chinatown, the railroads and bridges. It laid a foundation.

This episode also challenged me to dig deeper around my sex work politics. It was mentioned that sex work is a white term (agreed to some extend) that get's used to provided cloud cover for the trafficking of children and over horrific things that pimps do. That's definitely happening, but I also feel like it provides some cloud cover and a more protective ecosystem for consensual sex work to happen in safer ways. The class piece and exposure to harm and violence is also a thing that I'm thinking about more deeply because of this episode. It has further made clear to me that sex workers (historically and today) require training on violent self defense because it's the f around and find out principle for me.
