Aw man, I started playing like a month ago and I wanted to do it entirely blind, build and everything. See if I can understand the game. I am currently going through red maps for points on the Atlas. Got two or three Maven invitations. I killed the Infinite Hunger and The Black Star. I came here to see if I missed anything on the leagues (and Harbringer and Beyond which never showed up).

What I got was embarrassed by my character when I saw his character jump two screens away and end everything in one swing. lol

2.3k hours in, didn't know about the beast extractors :S

Came back to PoE after like 6+ years and all these new mechanics kind of shocked me. I just sort of learned through trial and error, but this video helps fill in the gaps, and it helps me learn "oh, that thing is called that." So I'll be able to look up and learn more about each specific mechanic thanks to this video. I'll keep an eye out for your other league mechanic videos. Thanks, Ziz.

Blight sucks. Full stop. Literally the worst mechanic outside of harvest. Ritual league was the best league I've played. Made more money that league than any others.

jesus, i play this since 2014 and never knew you could turn a beast into tradeable. i knew there were beast trades, but i always thought they were dropped on the map, not captured and THEN transformed into tradeable... jesus fuck

I'm pretty noobish at this game, but I managed to get a Diala's Malefaction from Bestiary this season, which sold for 7 divines and pretty much funded my build, so that was nice.

Delve is shit period

As a completely new player, it would be helpful to mention when exactly to go into the worthwhile mechanics. Many of those are introduced during the campaign, but based on this video it seems they are more useful once the campaign is done for mapping?
I have no idea what "early in the league" or "later in the league" really means.

GGG should have done a better job consolidating league mechanics for new players. 80% of the league mechanics is a variant of kill monsters in a different place for a different currency to do some not strictly necessary shit. Just remove these mechanics already, complexity != depth. Some minigames should be removed from the game too, like why would anyone want to do braindead TD mechanic in blight instead of logging out of the game to play bloontd for a few hours? Extremely tedious and unfun grind.

Very new to this game and even with things boiled down like this, it’s still somewhat daunting to get in and figure it all out. Trying to find a guild that is newb friendly, if anyone has one or could steer me in a direction, that would be much appreciated.😊

those mechanics seem fun specially if it's not limited to a season and it's part of the main game. i wish Diablo 4 was like this in some ways

10) Metamorph: Become a bodybuilder.
11) Beyond: Your in-laws are visiting....

I'm just starting POE and the last arpg I used to play was literally Diablo 2 (back in the days). I decided to start because I'm undecided in buying D4. I found out that poe is the most complex game available online, and this video proves it even more. There's so much mechanics available through the years this game has been active. It's very overwhelming as a casual newbie. But, so far, with my 20 hrs playing it. I have been excited to progress more and more, it's addicting. (reason I ended up to this vid lol)

Yeah on the part of abyssal depths being "somewhat rarer now" i had my tree specced mainly for abyss early this league and ran well over 500 maps without ever seeing one, i might just have shitty luck but fr in my experience this league abyss is hot garbage to try and farm

this was useful because trying to google search what leagues were currently in the game i didn't get any return hits. As a returning player(I last played Ultimatum) I wondered what was in and what wasn't

how about adding a small, points for each league as a tab and make it easier for people to decide. i loved the explanation. wouldve loved to see a list of points like delve 3/10 (not very rewarding or hard smth) and then 10/10 expedition (extremely rewarding. would be easier for alot of people to decide on a single table to check from.

I'd also mention Lab nodes. For only 4 atlas passives you get 4% chance per map to get 1 of 3 special offering, one of which cost like 2 divines. 11/10 for my atlas, like the only thing i do not unspec

well i finished the storyline and just started mapping i dont see the point in just grinding for better gear through all these mechanics. If the entire endgame is just grinding and grafting items to grind some more i have better things to do with my time. but the storyline was great up to this point. so the game is good in my book

I came here expecting to find stuff like crucible or orher seasonal stuff explained. Playing in act 5 i haven't even seen half of these mechanics and it really seems like the endgame is way further away from me than i anticipated after like 50 hours of ruthless

This video was probably entirely responsible for me being able to get into end game at all. I had reached maps on several previous leagues, and then just gotten stuck. Asking for help always resulted in 'well... what do you want to do?' and i couldn't answer, because i had no idea of what the possibilities were. What build should i go? Apparently depends upon my intentions for endgame, but when you don't know anything... how can you answer?
After watching this video it's the first time i've cleared up to t16 maps, gotten all the atlas points, and enjoyed being spec'd into expedition, metamorph, incursion and blight, while picking up Essence and lockbox nodes.
