Hey man, old video so I hope I get a reply.

I recently bought the Coolmoon Diamond Ray strip and saw that I needed the RGB Controller to actually use it instead of just plugging it into my mobo.

If I rewire my LED strip to have the 3 pin mobo header as described by your wiring diagram, will it work?

Is it possible to solder the ARGN 3pin connector or the JST 2pin connector to a USB type A? Since they both have the same pinouts and use the same amount of voltage. I wonder if you could control the ARGB that way by through software by hooking it up with a USB type A into motherboards that don't have an ARGB header.

Hi! I bought new one today, however after few minutes, the remote controller stopped to work. I mean, it has the red led when I push a button, however, I makes no reaction to the remote controller. Do you know what could be the reason?

My case has ARGB fans and strips, and a IN VDG connector with 3 pins but with just two wires. I suppose I can wire my coolmoon controller, taking the DATA OUT from one fan or led strip from the controller to the VDG IN, but how? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you. Can you please make a tutorial on the manual switch headers where we can attach a switch to toggle different states. Can we change brightness with that?
[update: I have attached a switch. It can be used to change the LED effects or turn it off. But, cannot control the fans without the IR remote]

Thank you very much. I got 4 coolmoon fans and a new case. This case got a pwm rgb splitter/controller included. Now i have the problem that this new controller from the case dont synchronisize with the old ones from coolmoon because the coolmoon ones only have a 5V input for power. I will remove 3 pins and hope the fans dont die lol. Do you got any tips for me? I want to synchronisize it with my ASUS TUF B660M Plus. Greetings

Is it possible to plug an arbg cpu fan (just the arb part, the fan part plugs into the mobo) into the "light strip" part and it would work?

It has the same 1 blank 3 4 as the "light strip" ends

Awesome video! Blew my mind. Thank you.

I have an argb fan (3pin). How would I go about connecting it to the Coolmoon controller? I'd need a JST connector?

thank you, my controller is suck and dead, the LED on the fan now at maximum and so fricking bright, now i'm about to cut that 5v LED pin. I also wonder if we can mod a typical fan case with 3or4 pin to plug them into that hub (only using 2 pin only the left side: 12v+ground)?

Thanks for this video dude! My case came with it's own rgb hub and led strip, but I had a separate for my fans that's exactly like coolmoon. My case led strip is only 3 pins, and I've tried plugging it to my fan hub, which accepts 4 pin for the led strip. Now it's broken. I bought another led strip but it's 3 pin again. Thankfully the strip is labelled now, so I was able to make it work even with the different connectors thanks to your explanation on the pins.

My remote suddenly stopped working for this controller. The lights are still on, but i can't change color or turn down the speed anymore. Yesterday evening everything was fine, i didn't change anything and now it doesn't react anymore. Does anyone know of a solution, im really bummed and i don't want these fans to spin at max RPM the whole time, its loud and annoying.

Tried to plug in an Aerocool Mirage 12 fan but it didn't work, figured out the pinouts are different just like this: N-G-D-5v-G-12v (N is the data out pin which is unusable by the fan).

So what i did was to flip the connector and switch the 5v and 2nd G pins so it matched the ones in the controller. The Fan did spin and I managed to controll the speed but the lights didn't turned on at all. Do you think I messed the RGB the first time I plugged them incorrectly ? or is just a compatibility issue ?

Hello,

I'm sorry if you have answered this before, but I can't find it anywhere. My pc came with a similar controller, but I can't control it through the motherboard. It is connected with a 3 pin connector and the aura sync software recognises it as a Adressable LED strip, but it doesnt change the color. I can only change it using the remote and it always resets to the rainbow effect every time I turn off the computer. Is there any way to disable the remote control?

thank you very much?
