Waiting Until Marriage | Our Celibacy Journey + Tips

Very inspirational! I'm on the same journey but it has been challenging! Can I ask a question: During courtship did you all kiss or cuddle or was those things off limits? Also were there any near misses (times when you came close to crossing your boundaries) and if so, how did you all navigate through those situations. Thanks in advance! I’m 20 and decided to leave the world behind get outta sin and wait. It’s definitely required me to understand boundaries and learn how to communicate them. We in for a ride but ik it’s worth it for me & when I look at how God gave me literal life and continues to bless me the way he do- it’s only right I wait for my lifelong blessing. and I’m thankful for individuals shedding light for the folks in the back who tryna hold on!! I've been with my man for 9 months & everything has been GREAT!! We have been intimate, but recently we decided to abstain from sex until marriage (we talked about it in the past, but we never really acted on it until now). I'm not religious, but I am spiritual, on the other hand he believes in "God", which isn't a problem for me. He said that ever since he has stopped eating meat (I stopped eating it 8 years ago), he's been able to think a lot more clearer & he's been talking/listening to "God" etc. etc. I'm very grateful to have him in my life & I'm ready to take the celibate journey with him....I've done it before (for 2 years) so I know that I'm capable of doing it again. 😉😉 The world is so fixated on LOOKS & SEX that a lot of people think that they can't have a good/healthy relationship unless they're having sex. 😔🥺 When it's all said & done, I know that my man & I will have a wonderful relationship simply because we know what we want, both of us have been married before, we get along great, we have fun together etc. etc, so I'm ready for the next chapter in our lives. Thanks for this video, I really enjoyed it. I'm glad to see that 2 young BLACK people actually have morals & aren't afraid to go against the worldly temptations that ends up wrecking havoc in people's lives. But, somehow, we are acting like a couple of teenagers now, and I’m trying to find a way to control this! We pray together every night, go to church together, but until now, I haven’t heard a good reason to resist the “urge to merge”. It’s for God, and to resist idolizing one another. You guys are cherry picking the Bible to outright making things up. You waited for marriage to have sex cool that’s in the Bible so you got that part but how would you feel if Allen wanted to bring another woman into the relationship for a little extra pleasure especially during those times when you on your period? Do you know that according to the Bible he would have god’s permission to do so? Would you leave him? Then you would be committing adultery against god. You would stand firm and let him know that you wouldn’t allow him to bring another woman in when according to god You have no say so. So if you want to be with one woman and one woman only that’s the choice you made that’s not a choice god of the Bible said you had to make.

you shouldn't wait until marriage for sex can you imagine being with somebody for 5 to 10 years but they're like oh I'm waiting until marriage and then you finally marry them and find out they have a penis LOL don't marry until you have an emotional AND physical connection with somebody and they are there for you when you're broke and when you're thriving that is the only proper way to pick the right partner 💯

Celibacy is not just something we choose to do it is an actual requirement from God as a Christian. The bible tells us to flee fornication. It's supposed to be a part of our Christian life style. Once you become a Christian sex is off limits until marriage. It's a part of what we are required to not do when it comes to being obedient to God. Man shall live by every word that proceedth out of the mouth of God. We cannot pick and choose what things we are going to obey and what we are not going to obey. God require us to remain celibate until marriage.
