Before Game of Thrones, this was a great show. Unfortunately cancelled— the story is similar to GoT. I read 10 of 11 books; could have been a great series.

Cara was closest to her original character, but so much of the story was changed, it is hard to keep any character true to the source material

Cara was a breath of fresh air in that show.

Too bad it never really followed the books. Of the 23 books in the series the show never got close to how events happened. They took the characters out and made up their own story line, making it completely unenjoyable if you read the series. From names being pronounced wrong, to events happening out of order from the books. If events and chronology was followed you would see how much they follow what this world is currently going through. From the last 20-30 years, our government has slowly and methodically moved toward tyranny. Jagang and the imperial order, including the fellowship of the order are taking over the lives of innocents without them even knowing, the few who stand against are demonized, separated, ridiculed, called every name in the book that is derogatory so no one wants to believe them of what's actually happening. That being said the "greater good" can kiss my ass!

Loved the series. So sad it ended at 2.

They ruined this series so badly. I enjoyed the books for the most part. I know a lot of the content was never going to be covered but they still could have done a lot better with the story.

This show is one of my all time favorite shows. And despite what a lot of people think, I liked both seasons and the ending. I do wish it didn't get canceled though. I watched the first season and half of the second and then read the entire series then went back and watched both seasons. I think they did an awesome job!

I read the books back in the day. I was told to avoid the show if I already read the books. That the show was a complete slap in the face to the respect and dignity of the books. I’m glad I did avoid the show. It seems like a revamped version of Xena Warrior Princess. I’ll reread the books a 4th time.
Interesting tho to see how someone else portrays the Mord Sith.
