Does anyone have any ideas for those who don't have these tools available? or for those who can't afford it? That would be great thank you.
ОтветитьSame question as someone else previously asked, Emma, this is really great advice but what about when you are out and about having to use other people's toilets or public toilets? Do you try and use the seat reducer then by taking it with you?
ОтветитьAwesome tips. Hope it works…
ОтветитьMy 18 month old’s bottom is still too small for even the family style seat reducer. Would you recommend I just keep using the little removable potty ring until she’s just a bit bigger? She’s doing great with it for now - no pinching, very successful poos and wees. Her feet also don’t dangle far enough to even touch a foot stool so for now she just puts her feet up on the adult seat and sits almost cross-legged with her knees higher than her hips.
ОтветитьAlso, what do you recommend for when you’re out and about and there is no seat reducer? My 18 month old is dwarfed by an adult seat and she looks uncomfortable as she tries to wee and I have to hold her under the arms. I haven’t even tried to have her poo on a big seat yet, but someday she will need to go poo when we’re out and about and I am a bit nervous about it.
ОтветитьHow do you find that kind of toilet seat? I’m in the US and have never seen that.
ОтветитьHi Emma. Thanks for all the great advice. May I ask, what age would be the best to start toilet training?
ОтветитьMy 4 year old little boy has Autism so toilet training is a little more difficult but I will use these tips for my younger boy who will be 2 in December I want to try potty train him soon x
ОтветитьIs that your son in the video? He's so adorable ☺
ОтветитьHi! Thank you for this!
Which toilet seat would you recommend? We are in AU
My son is 18 months old and I want to start potty training him. However I will be traveling with him abroad in 2 months so I’m wondering if I should start once we get back instead.
ОтветитьAll of this sounds like a lot of work anyway. Is there a simpler method when you perform just a small piece of work at a given time? For example, repeating some magic word with each attempt. :)
ОтветитьMy 2.5 year old has been great with no pants on just going to the potty by himself. When I put underwear on him he doesn’t tell me until after an accident and then says he has to go potty. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьHi !👋 i m Manaim .. Congratulations 🎉 it's a great success when your infants are diaper free 😊i m also working on my 6 months old daughter you know it's a big success when your child is giving you response in the toilet.. Mantasha always did it ... but for pee or sometimes poop when she is having motion sickness... she did it in the diaper she just started her solid a month ago ..So I just wanna know about ur experience. .. can U guys please share your success if you did to your infants ❤️
ОтветитьHi Emma,
Would you have a working link for the toilet lid please?
Thank you x
My boy is 3 years old, he can go pee at almost any time, he knows how to control the muscles but he has no interest in going to the bathroom. He doesn’t dance when he has to go, he has no tells, he will just go while he is playing without missing a beat and will stay wet without saying anything even with underwear. He is incredibly smart, he is reading already and can hold conversations, but no amount of Im proud of you, candy or youre a big boy mean anything to me. In fact he told me once that he just wants to be a baby and wear diapers. I have nothing. He’s been in underwear for weeks and I take him to the bathroom every two hours.
He will go in the potty and then 5 minutes later he will go in his pants.
Dear @Emma thank you so much for all your support and shared information. Just wondering if you can recommend where to find (online or in store in Australia) the wooden 2-step footstool. Can’t find it anywhere.. thank you 😊
I hope you enjoy the coffee ;)
At what age do parents start potty training their toddlers?
Ответитьthe familiy toilet seat? So do I have to reinstall the whole toilet to the one you mentioned? I'm confused haha
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts on little toilets?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьIs it bad that I bought my son his own little toilet instead of what she suggested? I thought it would make my son feel more comfortable and safe.
ОтветитьI tried the 3 day potty training system with my 2yr old but he's speech delayed. He is doing great so far going pee in the big potty my only issue is he doesn't tell me when he needs to go to the potty. I have to catch him everytime before or when he is having an accident. Am I doing something wrong?!?! Is it to soon..HELP!!
ОтветитьThank you what is the name of the wooden foot stool I’m trying to search on Amazon I don’t know the name to describe the product to find it?
ОтветитьYou should make an affiliate link for these items! You should get commissions for the items you recommend. I wouldn't have known about these great products if it wasn't for you
ОтветитьWish i saw this video before i started. Thank you for the advice
ОтветитьYour videos have provided so much information and have reinforced some of what ive known. Keep em coming.
ОтветитьQ1. Should a parent stay inside the toilet all the time while kid is trying to pee or poo? Child is 3.5 yr old and safely sits.
Q 2. How long (time) should we wait for child to stay sitting on toilet seat? My child can sit for longer than 5 minutes (but hasn't pee or poo in toilet yet. It's just the beginning for us).
Q3. So, there are 3 toilets in home. This means putting 3 famioy style toilet seats AND 3 wooden stools ?
Thank you for your wonderful tips.
How do you know when your toddler is ready to sit on the potty? I have tried to tell her pull down your pull ups and she did but got a little upset when I told her... "ok now sit down on your potty"... what do I do now or do you think she's ready... she's a late talker also because of bad eye sight as a baby ans we didn't know until we brought her to special eye doc for little kids. PLEASE HELP!!!!
IM FEELING VERY overwhelmed😮💨😩😮💨😩😮💨😮💨
How do you also know when she has bladder control???
ОтветитьNOBODY SAYS... and THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW.😮💨
that if your child at 2 and a half has SPEECH DELAY... you don't start potty them till the age of 3.
Hello, I am from Bangladesh and I couldn't find these family style toilet seats anywhere. What do you suggest instead, a portable reducer ring or a small potty?
ОтветитьThank you for this video. great help.
One question: what if the child gets used to these things and then these are not available in other places like their schools etc.
Do you have a recommendation for a wooden stool? None of the ones on Amazon are tall enough for the knees
ОтветитьShould I not use a little potty
ОтветитьYou help me to understand and know what to do through all milestones of my baby , you don’t only give advice but you also explain why ,which makes more sense . You are just amazing . Thank you
ОтветитьWhat family toilet seat do you recommend? I don't know what to choose. :/
ОтветитьTHANK YOU
ОтветитьWhat's your advice for what to do during nap times / bed times while the child is asleep? I'm assuming the child will still have to wear diapers during this time while they're asleep...?
ОтветитьAt what age is appropriate to start potty training my baby?
ОтветитьWhat about the all in one ladder and toilet seat combo?
Ответитьonly 1 link in essential doc works((
Ответитьemma really helps wade through all the million product options out there. her recommendations make so much sense. my guru!
ОтветитьI've potty trained 5 kids already successfully now Im Lost after 10 years i have a toddler and I don't know how to potty train a totally forgot
ОтветитьJust bought a family seat & footstool!
ОтветитьGreat video! Emma, do you happen to know about square shaped family seats? We are struggling finding one here in Europe, only found portable reducing rings for square shaped toilets. 😔 Thank you!
ОтветитьThe thumbnail though! 😂.
ОтветитьInteresting but when we go out and about they don't have the family seat. So I think practice with a little portable potty or the ring is helpful. We did road trips a lot with my 2nd and he would ONLY go in HIS potty 😂
ОтветитьThank you for your amazing content Emma! One question: how would you handle pottying out-and-about? These products are not exactly portable, is it better to have a travel-specific potty/insert, or to just have to hold them over a toilet? I could see pros and cons to both but maybe there's a third option I'm not considering?
