I got scammed too i was trying to sell my items on dmmarket and somehow i got the trade offfer from different person he took my gloves and knife ofc it was only 400euro not so much like your but it a lot for me... steam and dmarket cant help me goot good lesson after i got scammed i was so angry almost cryed...

Gave me huge PTSD, friend of mine and myself were playing DM before the 7 day trade hold and decided to trade our knives to each other for shits and giggles. We got bored and agreed to send knives back but with literally PERFECT timing someone who was in game sent trade offer with exact name and pfp of my friend requesting knife back and I did same as you, didn’t check profile, nothing. Unfortunately my scammer wasn’t as nice and held it. I immediately bought a new butterfly vanilla to replace his… thankfully shit wasn’t even $200 back then, but still an awful feeling. If it was nowadays it’d be fucking sickening to cough up the money to replace. Glad it worked out.

Dude don't feel bad, this guy may not of been a scammer he could of been studying social engineering, maybe he wants to be a white hat hacker, he certainly isn't the black hat hacker because if that was the case you would not of seen your stuff again. My guess he is studying to be a pen tester or something and wanted to try some social engineering.

happened to me back in 2018 for a MW crimson karambit when csgodouble and fake gambling sites were a thing. anyway i fell for a fake middle man and got scammed out of 900$ back then that was my life savings as a 17 yr old. till this day i hope that guy had karma

I just got scammed last night from a faceit scheme where they send you that link to join a hub for tournament and then poof my knife, gloves, m4,AK,deagle all skins gone. i think it was around 300-350$ :(
