If you haven’t played Nova Drift, I highly recommend it

very good format, roughly one minute to describe a game and most of them are spot on
however skull came a little short, when you upgrade basic skulls up to legendary they all become very unique and fun to play, and since your review the game got updated HEAVILY so i recommend to try it again, S tier in my book

I would recommend you try The Monster Within. It's a card game in early access on Steam.

If you are interested in a new one. Tower Tactics: Liberation is worth a look. It's not super complex, but I really enjoy it.

Curse of the Dead gods might be one of the hardest games on here

For the King is maybe best seen as an RPG that happens to have a random map, over an actual roguelike.

Please for the love of god emphazise the first syllable of roguelite like a normal human being. "rogueLITE" makes me cringe every time

Risk of Rain 2 is my most favourite roguelike of all time, absolutely worth checking out!!

Noita has remained my favorite game for MONTHS (and that's saying alot since I've got ADHD) It's SOOOOOOOOO DARN GOOD

Gala Games has Superior and it's play to earn, you should check it out, it's amazingly fun

Honestly... I've played procedurally-generated games for years and I'm Strongly feeling the meaningless disconnection of randomization. Memorable, static experiences come to mind all the time... ESPECIALLY the ones where I have a lot of choice myself. Not so much randomly-generated things.... when you have too much chaos, you have too little connection. Once upon a time I thought that generated content was the future of infinite possibilities. Now I kind of wish some developers / publishers would outright advertise being Memorable "unlike those randomized games". I need something to feel something for and connect to. ( lately, Strategy RPGs have won out )

Almost halfway into the video and you didn't mention 1 roguelike

Jupiter Hell and Dungeon of the Endless have been eating up a lot of my time, lately. I get cravings for DotE once or twice every year, and play another 30 hours, or so.

Neither of these really have a lot of focus on progression between runs, however. So, if that's what you prefer, they're probably not for you.

The soundtracks in both are great, very fitting, and they help up the tension, when needed.

I still haven't found anything that has hooked me as hard as BoI:A, though. I have more than 2000 hrs logged. 😒

I have a couple hundred in Gungeon & Hades, a few dozen in most other recent roguelikes and lites. But nothing has really grabbed my attention like before. 🤔

Curse of the Dead Gods is one of the best rougelikes I have ever played..Hades obviously wins with story/dialogue, but curses’ combat is unmatched

And pretty much all of them suck bag

Not too many actual roguelikes on this list, which I prefer than roguelites...Then again, there isn't much new "core" roguelikes out there, the newest one I played was probably Caves Of Qud which is amazing...I guess I am an old school roguelike purist, the closer to the original Rogue, the better.

I know its not a game many can play but Returnal is incredible and my 2021 GOTY. Would like to see reviews for Gordian Quest and Rogue Legacy 2 (though its so close to full release maybe just wait until Summer)

Roguebook looks literally like a copy of slay the spire.
