I remember when I played for the first time that I had no idea why the imperials and stormcloaks were fighting, but my friend told me the quests were all the same shit so it wouldn't really matter who I picked
I chose imperials because I like whiterun's jarl, then later found out that the reason for the war is because of the imperials supporting the thalmors, so I instantly regret it because I fucking hate elves!!!

I love that General Tullius is called an "elf puppet" while it's actually the reverse. Ulfric is the unwitting pawn of the Thalmor. He was even called an "asset" in the Thalmor dossier. His entire civil war was instigated by the Thalmor. He's so clueless that all this time, he's actually doing exactly what the Thalmor wants. Conversely, General Tullius was smart enough to realize this hence why he decided to execute Ulfric instead of taking him to Cyrodiil. That's also the reason why Elewen was in Helgen. They want to prevent Ulfric's execution so the civil war will continue. So the bottom line is: General Tullius opposed the Thalmor plans while Ulfric unknowningly followed them. Makes you wonder who's the real puppet...

This is so stupid. The Imperials are holding the Thalmor back from slaughtering everyone in Skyrim. Ulfric is a certified race traitor there is a notebook in the game when you go to the Thalmor embassy in Skyrim that confirms that he is a Thalmor puppet. To be real, i join the imperials for one reason, i hate people saying what i should and shouldn't do so i hate the fact that Talos worship is banned, so in general i would ally to the storm cloacks by that, but i can't stand one thing, the imperials have Skyrim, Cyrodill, god the Empire is HUGE, and yet they lost to the thalmor, the White gold concordat in my view was the only way to SURVIVE, and the Stormcloacks really think that some soldiers and a bunch of farmers that join a battle against the Thalmor have any chance? They think that they can beat the elves ass just by themselves and they can't win a war againt the empire in their own land? I love the heart of the storm cloacks and the desire that they have to see skyrim free again, their will do die for their home is truly inspiring, but to think that they can win this war is just...nonsense, i think that the most beautiful and inspiring trait that thry have, their proud, is also why i think that they'll never win.
And also, i love playing argonian, dark elf and khajiit, so the fact that they hate those is just...it just throws me away from them, they want a free skyrim, to it to be for the nords, but what's a nord? They say about having the heart of a nord but they almost say it kinda literally, if you don't have lieteral ancient nord blood running throught your veins, your're not a Nord neither has the heart of one...
So i really love the premisse of being a stormcloack and fighting for freeing your country, fighting with honor and defending the land and the people in it, but the reality...is that there's too much Proud that's even detrimental to the cause, and too much hypocrisy...
