You've probably already done this on the spool holder they rotated at 60° so it's sitting up straight-on angle like that

I'll be getting my Ender 3 in a couple days and I love technology so 3d printing really excites me so I'm grateful for this video as I will be able to make a lot of great prints!

I suspect someone already mentioned this. but if you flip the arm that the spool holder screws into so that the nut is inside the u-side you can adjust the actual spool holder to stand up and dcwn

I have been using my Ender 3 Pro for one Month because I got it for Christmas. I am impressed with how clean the printer looks in the video... mine turned so dirty after my first try n' error experience. XD All over, I am thrilled with my printer and I even am going to change to a direct drive soon to prevent some issues my friends got earlier. If the little storage compartment is a bit loose, the tools are starting to get noisy but the sown upgrades are great!

Good video. I do have a couple of concerns. 1. I’m sure the reason Creality left the back of the circuit board open is to dissipate heat. Did you consider printing a cover with air vents. You could even install a small computer fan. 2. Those little fittings holding the tubing are great when used properly. They are designed for pressurized tubing. The pressure actually swells the tubing and pushes it back against the “teeth” that hold the tubing in place. This obviously isn’t the right application for them. You could try a compression nut with a Ferrell. That would hold it in place.

Hello! If you are still reading replies to this, I found that the E knob doesn't really work- on my printer the extruder shaft is much lower than yours. Any ideas on what I can do?

it's been a while since i successfully printed anything on my ender 3.
idk what it is. i've tried everything but it still chokes and stops extruding. probably filament going bad, i guess

Print a little cap for the speaker to make it quiet. Unless it has a volume knob.

To tone down the speaker (piezo buzzer), simply put a piece of electrical tape over the hole. Awesome tutorial... bought my Ender 3 Pro yesterday and can't wait to get out to my shop to assemble it.

this is some really cool little fixes and mods for sure, alot I wanted to fix as well, #1 for me is the spool. Putting it together I didnt like where it was and that was my very first printer ever. Just got it 2 days ago and love it. These mods will just make it even better for me. Only thing Im wondering about is does the spool hanging off the side on the bottom rail, will that put any twisting tension to where it would make something out of square over time?

Good tray - as you probably know, over time pla will shrink and that tray will slide easier. Maybe there are filaments that are designed not to shrink over time but all my builds shrink, which makes it hard to have any pieces built originally with some precision remain in that precision over time.
Your builds do look nice, good examples.
I totally agree about mounting that spool way up in the air where it will rock the printer.
You want just a bit of drag when you use bearings on the spool holder - otherwise the momentum can overrun the draw rate of the bowman feeder. Happy accident it ended up canted just enough on your design.

Your video is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen when it comes to printing stuff. Thanks for making the process so simple and straight forward.

The extruder knob does not fit new Ender 3 Pro's (2022 model year).

That's what you get from cheap companies, like China especially.. Little things but they effect the machine. Old engineering is out dated in today's world.Guy's😁

Awesome tips. Wonder if you could help? Just set ours up. Same model. Did the home command and leveled the bed. After that I tried the home command again and the print head just jerks, no movement. Ideas? Thanks

Thank you for the videos and all the files, tool tray is def a must have. Question regarding the knob, I don't have a metal piece sticking out to insert into the knob... mine is basically just flush to the filament feeder / roller thing... is that piece (the part sticking out) an upgrade I could buy somewhere? Thank you

I wonder if those "cuplings" are push lock fittings. If they are you need to push the plastic color ring in as far as it can go while inserting the line to lock it. I work with airline that uses similar fittings.

You actually put the spool bracket on wrong that's why the bearing roller was not pointing straight up. You had the bracket on right the first time.

a lot of things are called bolts in this video but none of them are actually bolts. bolt = any fastener

Regarding aligning the printing bed Level. I had the opposite issue with mine. The screws were so darn tight and it was still "scratching the surface" so I had to put the stopper/switch a little further up.
