I visited that Mall years ago. It was nice.
ОтветитьThat Macys home store was actually built in the late 90’s
ОтветитьRay concord mall is very beautiful
ОтветитьHi Ray. What a breathtaking mall. Not to many like this one. It makes one wonder what it was like back in the 80's and what stores were there. Back in the 80's there was a mall that my friends and I used to walk all day on a Saturday and boy do I have such great memories. No longer there and now we have the Brass City Mall and very few stores are left in that one. I know you did a video on that mall and I haven't been in it in over 5 years now. Thank you Ray for sharing
ОтветитьI really enjoy the open glass skylights and exposed metal beams in the design of malls like this. It reminds me of Newport Centre with its similar architectural features.
ОтветитьSo many fond memories of the Concord Mall. At times, I prefer it over the Christiana Mall because it's quieter and less hectic.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this video.
ОтветитьI went there in November of 2023
ОтветитьThank you. Safe travels.
Ответитьomg love that you finally did a video on the Concord Mall, we use to go all the time as kids!
ОтветитьGreat Video man! I still need to get to here, I did the concord mall in Indiana before it closed and it’s crazy the difference between the two malls.
ОтветитьThe directory still having Sears active marks it as at least from 2020, since April 2020 is when that location went under. Directory probably hasn't been updated since the beginning of the pandemic.
ОтветитьThe music, the trivia, even the thumbnail! So soothing and great to watch. Thank you.
ОтветитьSweet! Thank you, Ray!
ОтветитьConcord has it going on!
ОтветитьSuch a gorgeous place yet a little bittersweet
ОтветитьYour video shows how exquisite this mall is, but the one in the photos is like a fantasy castle on the clouds!
ОтветитьLove the openness of that Macy's. Also, the framing framing of the clock and the existing fountain felt like a still from a movie, the one that would be featured in every essay about theme. :)
ОтветитьWhat’s crazy is having nostalgia for a place you’ve never been to before. This mall for instance. I’ve never been there but that 90’s aesthetic of green, brass, clocks, Ivy plants, was everywhere in the 90’s. Thanks for the vid!
ОтветитьThat Macy's is just stunning! Wow! I hope it survives the latest round of Macy's closures, it would be heartbreaking to lose a store like this. Thanks for the video, I loved it.
ОтветитьI still have nj bell pay phones in my town..woo hooo
ОтветитьFantastic work, Ray. Thank you for all that you do

Quick question about the abandoned outdoor mall in Manasquan. I was just there and all the entry ways were blocked off with big cinder blocks. Did u just park away from the lot and walk on? Or was it not sealed off when u filmed that video?
ОтветитьI have a payphone in my living room!
ОтветитьWonderful Video!!!! I love the Fountain!!!! F+L, Corey
ОтветитьI have been going to this mall since before I was born, in 1981. It is so special. It's sad for me to see it so empty because I have memories of my dad unable to find a parking space because it was so full. It also makes me sad because my mom is dying and I remember when her and me were here all the time. I hope it never leaves.
ОтветитьI grew up going to this mall and I guarantee I’ve used those pay phones back in the 9Os
ОтветитьMy father owned an ice cream store in that mall from 1972 until 1984. I kind of grew up in that mall. I would love it if someone had some pictures from the 70s from there.
ОтветитьOmg I spent so many hours in this mall like 20 yrs ago as a young teenager. It used to be so much better than what it's unfortunately devolved to now. Memories!! ❤
ОтветитьCool Topic? Never heard of it I only know Hot Topic that’s crazy.
ОтветитьThe burger king is still there. It's in the center of the mall near the fountain. And right next to it used to be a Woolworths.
ОтветитьThis mall was once the place to be on a friday night. Before online shopping the concord mall did not have vacant stores. Sadly it has takin a hard hit during covid and lost many name brand stores. It will probably close perminatly during my life, so i appriciate videos like this to take me back to what it once was.
ОтветитьLast time I was in this mall was in 1999 with my girlfriend at the time. She was shopping for dresses for her senior year in college. I remember how incredibly busy the mall was. Personally, I preferred going to Christiana.
ОтветитьJust beautiful!🌟
ОтветитьI saw a Toys R Us in there. Was this vid before they closed down??
ОтветитьThis and the Christiana mall were my hang out spots as a kid! Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
ОтветитьProps on the editing and vibe in this one. Love this relaxing, nostalgic style.
ОтветитьI bought our wedding rings there at the Gordon's Jewelers back in 1997. Gordon's is long gone now.
ОтветитьUsed to live right down the road from Concord Mall. Would visit KayBee Toy Store with my kids in the early 90's and later Spencer's Gifts when they got older. At one time we frequented the Burger King before it was boarded up... Talk about your 80's decor, that place looked just like the cover of a Duran Duran album. - Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Sad to see it so empty but happy to see they're at least working to beautifully maintain the space.
