Design Space Intro for Cricut Maker 3

I have a chromebook laptop and I can't use my personal images....

Do I have to have a specific kind of laptop?

This was not helpful at all. There are no instructions on how to actually use a template or project; no instructions on how to create your own project. I paid a lot of money for this machine and am seriously disappointed at the lack of support from the manufacturer.

My design space looks nothing like this. No side bar at all. Help
