That Punk v. Swagger match, had it been a two count, would've been easily the closest 3 count in WWE history. Even at .25 speed, I can't tell if the shoulder got up before the ref's third count. It looks like it happens pretty much happens simultaneously.

JBL pretty much went through the same thing Steve Austin did. Austin was eliminated from the 1996 royal rumble way earlier than he should have been. Just like JBL, it didn't hurt Austin's push in the long-run!

not all of those are the refs fault. there has been many times in a match they count to 3 and then when they get up... they say it was 2 but they hit for 3 and the match continued

How do you “accidentally” count to 3? If the wrestler isn’t kicking out like they’re supposed then that puts the official in a very tough embarrassing spot.

Honestly I like the idea of the refs treating every match like a shoot. "Oh you didn't kick out? Sucks to be you." Keeps the writers, and wrestlers on their toes, and makes for a more unpredictable product...when it happens. Plus it's never the ref's fault that someone doesn't kick out.

The ref wasn't even looking at the shoulders on one of them at the beginning. He was looking towards the crowd and still have a three count. Lol.

A ref should always count to three.

I feel a way to avoid these is before 3 the referee goes heel and pretends they have something in their eye or something

no human has the reflexes to stop a count in the last half a second which is why wrestlers look into the referee's eyes while getting pinned. when they close their eyes it's a 3 count

Kevin Owens winning the US title looks pretty legit to me...he got a hook on the leg, AJ doesn't even try to kick out and Owens immediately celebrate and it looks like a legit weird finish for someone to go over and the other person to get protected WWE would use so overall I find it hard to believe it wasn't in the script...why would KO even go for a pin and AJ not even try to kick out otherwise???

I know its all staged before hand. But, if the wrestlers failure to do there part by kicking out, and the ref does the 3 count, then o well, you should be S.O.L.

I my opinion match should be over when the ref call for the bell not the 3 count 🙄

Y'all need to stop saying "the ref accidentally counted to 3" and start saying "so and so didn't kick out on time". Blaming the ref for doing his job to protect the business is old vet BS that's outdated.

Most of these can be put into three categories:
1. The referee isn't looking while they count.
2. The talent were late to kick out.
3. Mabel is fucking heavy.
