Reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode where the two kids had fighting parents and went for a swim to get away from them and discovered a whole new land where kids went to be happy, with candy and no bed time and some weird old lady named Aunt Tee. I think the boy wanted to stay but the sister realized they couldn't and I think losing the kids brought their parents together. I forgot the name of the episode but it was cute to me

So the dad sacrificed himself for nothing, since they filled the pool anyway. That's the dumbest thing ever!
