ОтветитьBeen waiting for this video!
ОтветитьMy guide to most people in the market for a two bay NAS would be: buy something else. Disk #2 does not give you any additional space and it is not a proper backup. Only if you need something that keeps going if a disk breaks or if you benefit from the higher speed with parallel read/write operations that are typically mainly beneficial for loads of very small files it may be for you. This makes it a niche product that is mass marketed because 2 disks sounds better than one. Seagate shareholders love them. A 1 bay + external hdd will be better value for money for most and if you need a bit more please go for 4 disks + ext hdd in raid5 or shr.
ОтветитьYou have become my go-to source as I shop for NAS's, thanks so much !!! I've watched so many of your videos, you almost convinced me to buy a cat (and I'm a dog person) !!!
ОтветитьHi, We now have QVR Elite on the TS-230, I would appreciate a video on that please.
ОтветитьWith all the problems in 2021 with Qnap , I can’t recommend any. Really good hardware compare to Synology but man , with those attack and their responses from Qnap, a big L to them. I hope that the guy that hardcoded his credential is fired too.
ОтветитьGreat review!
ОтветитьSeagulls sound like ASMR in a tech video. LOL
Ответитьi wish qnap would sell the drive caddies. i have a tvs1282 and the caddies are flimsy. do you think i can buy them from qnap, not a freekin chance in hell. any ideas where i can get some, or do you know of any different ones that will fit the qnap bays ? still looking forward to the dsm 7 vs qts 5.
ОтветитьDoes synology or qnap use btrfs?
ОтветитьMan.. Thank you so much for all the years of your valuable help
ОтветитьVery good video. I wish I had it in hand when I bought my QNAP TS-230. Probably I would've chosen one with an Intel processor inside. TS-230 is a pretty good device, easy to use and it's got a nice external design. But the ARM processor plus those 2GB RAM are clearly not enough for Plex, Transcoding and especially for QuMagie (QNAP's "Google Photos"). Everything is REALLY slow. I've got like 300MB free RAM all the time even if I uninstall unused apps. As you said: the more you pay, the better you get. Thanks again for your video!
ОтветитьI love my QNAP TS-239 pro which i bought in 2010.. Still reliable for 11 years now, and has all the things i need :-)
Ответитьgreat video!!!! I'm a woundering about bottle necks when using a 2 bay NAS with raid 1 and 3.5inch drives. is there any speed benefit for using a 2.5 or 5 connection over a 1gbp? another question, If I'm currently using a 1gbp NAS with Cat 7, Will there be any improvement with TS-253D? thanks
ОтветитьThank you for the video! I've watched a bunch of your videos and they've helped me a ton. Much appreciated!
ОтветитьHi can you help me out quickly as one of my friend is selling his old Qnap to-219p ii can you please tell me if it’s good option to go for. He said he will sell me in 14 hours (tomorrow afternoon here) so please if possible reply me at your earliest that should I go for it. I just need to use it to backup my data and watch videos or photos remotely
ОтветитьI have TS-251+, I am running out of space, what do u recommend I should do? Buy another NAS ,TS-253D...
