@ Sweetwater I have the ProFX 16v3 and i have a problem with my stereo channels: i have stereo inputs (1/4 TS) on the stereo channels and everything works fine except for the preamps. the preamp does not affect my signal, i have also tried every variaton of mono input left or right on the stereo channel. My question: does the preamp only affect the xlr input and not the stereo line inputs?
my alternative would be to split the stereo signal on mono channels and hard pan them but i dont have any mono channels free they are all in use already. i want to record my stereo synthesizers through the stereo channels but they need a little amplification from preamps which unfortunately dont work.
Is this normal for every mixer or is there something wrong with mine? Its brand new and everything else works just fine.

Question? I have a Yamaha MG 166cx. For some reason, when I plug microphones in, they are always on. And it doesn’t matter if I push the on off button, the microphone stays on. But, I can turn the sound off with the PFL button. Also, the faders don’t turn the volume up or down, I can only control the volume with the master. Do you know what this means?
