ОтветитьI think you were talking about Mami Wata or La Sirene, water deities/mermaids. I also think you took 2 separate stories & put them together. The golden table at the bottom of the river has to do w/greed. The other is about a dam that got built where the owner was warned to not go through w/the project. Of course he didn't listen! A lot of people either died or ran off scared sh*tless. So, they hired people from out of the country that weren't Jamaican & knew nothing about these spirits. Well, they ran into them too & some died or were grabbed by these entities/spirits in the water & were never seen again. A lot of the men that worked on the project died or disappeared!
