9400f has lower tdp and energy efficient, so 9400f win IMO.. almost same fps while running at cool temp and lower tdp.

i5 9400f don't have integrated gpu. many people don't know it. so you must have to buy a GPU with it if you are planning to buy it for playing games with igpu.

Besides all of the other comments here I feel that it needs to be said that besides the 9400F is cheaper and just few frames less than an OC'd Cpu in the long run you save more $$ in your electric bill, I Just love the lower TDP on the 9400F, I Know OCking have benefits but I hate the consumption and higher TDP
