Pearl drums these days with the new shell sizes and thinner are as good or better than any drum on the market....hard to beat the decade maple series. Bang for the buck clear winner is the session select kits...those drums are basically masterworks without a fancy paint job.

The only thing I can complain about is the lack of low end and punch in the basedrum(the flortom have bigger sound). Is it tuned bad? Because I have a kit that cost under 800 dollars with 20" BD and it have better low end and punch if you compare it to this drumset.

Great vintage sound, lacking in some new kits these days.

Pearl sounds as good as any of the USA kits.

This dude is the best demo drummer I've seen, he plays every drum by itself then together and solo's. And the tuning is excellent !
