I just couldn't bring myself to kill the residents of Covenant. They are all nice people and it is the perfect model surviving community. Well defended, organised, beautiful pre-war buildings and residents that dress like civilised people. Of course I did the quest that lead you to the synth dungeon, but I ended up making a deal with them. All the people had been abused by synths in some way. I could not justify ruining such a perfect community to save the lives of one (and potentially more) synthetic people. It all boils down to the moral question: If you could only save the life of one person and there are two in danger, would you save the synth or the natural human? Obviously we would save the person over a synth any day.
ОтветитьSynths must die. If the institute erred, they should have come out and not remained elusive.
ОтветитьThe Brotherhhood IS fanatical about their cause, but this chapter is not uncaring towards human life. They came to the Commonwealth to free them from the Institute, as well as from hostile mutants, like Supers and ghouls. If I’m not mistaken, it is the same Brotherhood as the one in the Capital Wasteland.
ОтветитьI just killed everyone (minus the cat) and made it my settlement.
ОтветитьSomething I’ve been thinking for years now. Why not just chop a finger off to see if it’s real or robotic? Lmao gotta love Fallout logic
ОтветитьEvery play through I made a immediate run to covenant and just start blasting 😂❤
ОтветитьWhat I don't understand is how a prewar Ghoul failed the Safe Test even though he still has the knowledge of how Baseball went, like how do these people grade the answers?
ОтветитьI guess now I don't feel so bad about accidentally wasting all these assholes in covenant.
ОтветитьThe morally right choice is to destroy all synths, mutants, heretics and Xenos.
The emperor protects
The goat exam was used to screen out synths. It was always an anti synth test
ОтветитьI jumped over the wall and everyone started shooting me. So I just killed everyone and make my settlement there
ОтветитьIts a fault placement test her logic is also flawed
ОтветитьDuring my playthrough, I ended up killing everyone involved with the quest (didn't know who to trust) and went on to take over the settlement. I was amused after a while when I heard about the slaughter on the radio.
"Yeah, hope no Raiders got to them..."
I especially enjoyed sneaking around gathering clues in the town, cuz somehow I was wearing Power Armor and nobody notices me barge into their homes.
Instead of giving a test to see if someone is a synth, why not just weigh the suspect? Wouldn't a synth weigh more than a human?
ОтветитьVoight- Kampff Test. Pretty sure the GOAT test was a reference to Bladerunner.
ОтветитьI first figured the daughter was a synth when he called her dad old man Stockton. Now, maybe she called him by a nickname because she thought that we, the player; wouldn't't recognize the person otherwise. Totally possible; but something about her not calling him by his real name or dad or father really made me raise an eyebrow.
ОтветитьPut her in the torture cage. Ask her the questions after a few rounds of shock therapy
ОтветитьHow did you get your courser companion to go along with releasing the synth? Wiping out and anti-synth settlement - perfectly aligned with mission parameters. Aiding an escaped synth? Not so much ...
ОтветитьThe only thing i hate about this quest is that if u wipe them out and take it over there is still owned stuff u have to scrap or store because if u pick it up the people who joins after u take it over will attack you
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьWhen I found this place I just used my jet pack to get over the wall, skipping the test entirely and complete bugging the quest lol. Came here to see how it was supposed to go
ОтветитьPenny has men issues.
ОтветитьSounds like the test from Fallout 3.
ОтветитьJust dawned on me now, wonder if Deezers lemonade has a way of detecting synths? Could be a reaction that happens when synths drink it? And the testing is misdirection plus a mod to FO3
ОтветитьJust by watching this video I realized that the test was the GOAT how didn’t i realize it before
ОтветитьI killed deezer after a while because he kept shouting about his lemonade. ( after I did the quest)
ОтветитьWill you be doing videos on starfield oxhorn
ОтветитьWell their test must be pretty effective if they were right about the girl being a synth.
ОтветитьThe first time I "discovered" Covenant was via the sewer pipe. They fired upon me and I lit the place up. That led me to the actual town of Covenant and I massacred everyone. I didn't know you could turn it into a settlement. lol.
ОтветитьI always side with Covenant in the end because losing one whole settlement & the subsequent general goods and clinical vendors in it, over one synth no less, is moronic.
ОтветитьI just killed everyone
ОтветитьMy first playthrough i actually discovered the compound before I first visited Covenant. Finished my business in there and headed over to Covenant, just for them to be immediately hostile, which I couldn't figure out why
ОтветитьThey're wrong for killing innocent people with thier stupid test. Even if this work 100% at detecting synth. Do you think the institute would allow them to operate and hindered them? Look at what happened to the Railroad. They're just trying to free the synth, these guy are trying to exterminate all the synth. They only alive because thier test is stupid and doesn't work otherwise they would send Kellogg to clean up.
ОтветитьThey secretly tortured people, they've met me and then mysteriously disappeared.... THE END
ОтветитьBro just gave her the goat test 😭
ОтветитьFirst time ever doing this mission. Cause some dang Molerat or a dang Raider would interrupt me during the test. Forcing the conversation to abruptly end. The townsfolk would then attack me cause somehow they took me as hostile. Finley was able to finish the quest but in the end the townsfolk ended up attacking me anyways. Is Covenant a good place to set up as a settlement? Only reason why I ask is cause every bed but one says owned. Will companions sleep in the bed if it says owned?
ОтветитьHonest Dan is probably one of the least hypocritical and most accepting man in the commonwealth probably, you could say he is the most honest
ОтветитьWith the exception of Boy In The Fridge, what gives this game its charm is everything is a shade of gray. There's no real right way for any mission, location, etc. Covenant is basically murdering synths because Chambers saw the Broken Mask Incident firsthand. The Covenant is an enemy of the Institute as much as the Railroad is but an enemy of the Railroad because they hate synths. The Brotherhood of Steel would love Covenant because they hate both the Railroad and the Institute. Covenant thinks its doing the right thing to protect humanity the same as any other faction (besides Railroad) so who's the real bad guy here? The sad part is if you rescue Amelia, she really is a synth who's not even Stockton's real daughter. Kill Covenant and you get a brand new settlement, kill Dan & Amelia and you're an ally and its business as usual. In my Minuteman playthrough I killed Covenant and it turned out to be a head-ache because there's not enough room for 20 settlers and once you destroy the turrets, they don't come back nor can you replace them in those spots.
My favorite is Oxhorn using his Institute character with X6 in tow. I know the game's mechanics didn't allow any unique dialog but I think its funny how Covenant is an enemy of the Institute and here's its Director (or father of the director if Shaun is still alive) and its best terminator (Courser) to confront them.
I still remember when I first came to covenant, I got it and ignored Dan, I sat down in a chair and when Dan came over to talk to me for the 5th time, I got up and blew his head off. Obviously I didn’t know what was happening behind the scenes, I just wanted Dan to stop bothering me.
ОтветитьOxhorn 6 years later with AI now here in our reality threatening so many jobs its interesting to know you think AI are people too. Lol, i guess power to the people, even if they aren't people.
ОтветитьI made a deal and got the extra caps but then killed the doc to save the synth, ya boy just needed the extra caps
ОтветитьThis video got me thinking, I wish there was complete data on all players' moral choices throughout the entire game.
ОтветитьI was so excited to complete the quest, but when I was grabbing the password he spotted me and they started shooting my dog so I grabbed my minigun and mowed them all down
ОтветитьIs that the goat test ?
ОтветитьI think the best plot twist for this would be if everyone in the town was a synth and didn't know it. Or at least a large portion of them.
ОтветитьSeriously, this is one of the quests that make me literally sick to my stomach. I understand the pain the institute has caused, the issue at hand, is this group is killing people indiscriminately in their quest to find a way to discern synth from human, and they have no concern for the false positives they kill, that their methods and their whole thing needs to be stopped. I usually dump a full clip into the "scientist", reload, and put another one in her just to be sure.
ОтветитьNo medical test so far devised can tell a synth from a human
And yet we find that synths can’t get fat, don’t age, and possibly don’t require sleep.
Seems like there really ought to be a few tests that could be done there
One thing i find cool is that the SAFE test is the same test you do at the beginning of fallout 3
Ответитьkind of like Voight-Kamff test in Blade Runner
Ответить
