Stop it... These "simulator games these days dont match real life physics. MIDNIGHT CLUB CAN DRIVE ON ALL LAND TERRAIN. AND EVEN THE PHYSICS MATCH ACTION MOVIES AND RACING MOVIES. OUR BRAKING SYSTEM MATCH THE E-BRAKE SYSTEM

"You cannot use a pad" said so nonchalantly as if everyone in the world can afford such expensive peripherals... This is what annoys me with modern racing games, all geared towards the rich twats who can afford wheel setups, and screw the poor people who cant afford such expense, or those who don't have the room to setup all that crap.

Well I am playing AC on a crappy Chinese PXN V3 and I can say I have a bad time. Idk if it is me or the wheel I use because I either understeer or loose control.

Im playing on a controller, I have 100 hours. I can say that playing this game which is made for a wheel when you are using your two whole arms, using only one finger for almost all movement, second for gas and next for braking is really tiring. I need a break after every race because Im starting to over stear, my finger just doesnt want to do what I want. Im mostly driving, tatuus, gt4-gt2 cars. Where gt2 are really painfull to drive, its actually easier to drive f2004 than porshe gt2. I like tatuus because its slow but really fun and rewarding to drive. Using formula 2017 is impossible, I need to use one button for boost the other for drs and I can't unbind POV buttons, because reasons. Also people with wheel which will try to kick you because you braked early so they ended in your butt and called you blue flag idiot, I really hate that. I dont have full controll of my car so I will often bump, kill, die, spin, because I pushed my analog too much or too low for a micro meter. I know I cant be as fast as a wheell driver but actually driving somewhat fast and sometimes even catching them (not for much, after following skilled wheell driver Im getting tired and will kill myself) is rewarding enough for me to just play this game. Its fun when I can go full throtle with ferrari and not spin in that spin box machine.

Tbh, as a newbie i tried different cars. Just on a straight, pushing the trottle sended me every time sideways.
Acc doesnt act like a c*nt... so i dont understand why it does it.

you know not many people are searching this up because their having problems with driving I should be able to go around a corner at 80 to 90kmh and not have this happen to me, then search it up and find a guy telling me how to drive, little advise instead of making a video how to drive make one on how to make the car not lose control when you turn a corner and its not like I'm going to fast 80kmh is so fucking slow so that was just dumb, and it even lost control on a straight strip and i was barely pressing the gas pedal so it would be so very much appreciated if you made a video on how to tune your car so it doesn't lose control because i really just want to drive my car without having it spin out because i press the gas when i come out of a corner.

Recovering from a slide in real life IS possible, but not in this game it seems. I fought for a solution using both a controller and T500 wheel, and like many others on here I've also come to the conclusion that there's something very off with the physics/controls in this game.

Ah well, back to Gran Turismo.

I have been a professional mechanic and tuner for 15 years, driven everything from 458s to Db9s, 1100whp Ford GTs to my personal race car, a 550whp Gremlin. Turned laps on Laguna Seca, Button willow, Willow Springs, Thunder Hill, 100s of track days first in my eclipse, now in my wrx, did car exchanges in college and went canyon carving in MR2s, M3s, 944s, everything under the sun. Racing with a G920, peddles, and shifter, and NO car has the kind of lift off oversteer and ridiculous inability to regain traction like everything inn this game does. Feels like driving a FR car with trays under the rear wheels and the parking brake locked. Is it a trick of the wheel settings, or bad physics.

I have been driving a t300 and pedals. Been playing DR2.0 for a long time. I have a BMW 325i in real life and can corner like a mf'r at 80mph on back roads. In the game if i turn the wheel in the M3 e92 even a little at even low speeds it just shoves the front tires and loses steering. Its not a racing line or shift issue, its a physics are not correct issue. Take it from someone who actually races, THIS is not correct to real life and its pissing me off.

I have all assists on with the easyist ai and I still can can't pass anyone!
I'm not a raceing noob.
I play forza motersport on the hardest difficulty with most assists turndown off and can win every race.
What am I doing wrong?
I have yet to finish a race anywhere other than last place.
And that's without spinning out or crashing during the race.

i have a TS-XW , thrustmaster pedals and shifter not a bad setup but dude i cant for the life of me do 1 solid drift and i can drift irl ...the steering feels wayyyy too heavy and just not righ t. maybe i need mods idk but i can drift a stock car aswell even the ae86 slides easy enough but i just cant catch is and spin out like you did at start of video :( helppppp . will pay you if you can help me on discord

Maybe a steering wheel is more enjoyable or maybe slightly better. But not everyone has the money to get a steering wheel. Beside that i hate everyone who says without a steering wheel or only with a controller you are not a real sim racer. Thats not true at all. Whats next? You must have multi screen setup and/or vr needed to be a real sim racer? And everyone has the money for it? Be realistic

My problem with following the AI is even if I follow their line to the T out of a curve when it comes time to get on the throttle they’re steadily pulling away and if I apply more throttle I start spinning. I guess the problem there would lay in the actual setup of the car?

I drive without assists so maybe I need to turn them back on until I can find that sweet spot and work from there.

so you have to pay $20 for the game and then probably almost $200 for a wheel and pedal, and maybe even another $50 for the shifter.

I'm a wheel noob. Got a 2nd hand T150 about 3 days ago. Anyway, I just started playing this game and they let me race with the Abarth against AI and they just kick my ass so bad.. even if I don't leave the track, they are always so much ahead of me.. Can you give some tips please? They usually finish the laps 15-20 seconds before I do..it's frustrating.
Do you brake , handbrake or just leave the gas pedal in turns?
Do you play manual or auto?
Did you change the maximum turn of the wheel or something?

I use a pad. Took hours until I found the right setting. Even with trying to use settings I found on google that people swore by that didnt work for the DualShock 4. Literally adjusting sliders in increments of 1 and testing different things out, being off by even a single point, means car is undrivable. I think I got it down now. I can actually make it around the track now.

At first I wanted to say this game was shit, but something wouldnt let me. I persisted until I got the perfect controls or near perfect atleast because of how this game just draws you in. No matter what setting used while trying to figure it out, the acceleration feels realistic right off the bat and controller vibrates like nothing else I have ever seen. Going over curbs? You can literally feel it as if your hand is gripping a wheel. It feels as if the whole curb or what ever you drove over, runs backwards off your hand.The vibration settings they used are spot on. I think those little things brought out here in fantastic detail in just overall feeling of the drive is what made me stick it out.

I have the money for a wheel and sick set up, no room until we move from this shitty house.

GT Sport looks and runs smoother than this on PS4, but something about how this game controls is just phenomenal. This is the first game that actually made me feel like I was driving. I dont know how they did it but they did.

This is coming from someone who only uses a pad, for the time being.
