This list has to have been made by someone who has never been to Hawaii. The top 10 places to live are all on Kauai, and the top 10 worst places to live are all on Oahu.

I live here in Kauai for more than 50 years and l like it. At present we live here in Kapaa with my family for almost 30 years now and we like this place.

I'm surprised you didn't recommend Puna. It's affordable, close to the coast and you get to know your neighbors and the community real quick. Pahoa is nice too. Kalihi valley is a great place as well. Hahaha

Don't do it! Cons: The drinking water causes cancer. "Da loco's" are getting restless. Tourist get beat up enough that saying it happens a lot isn't saying enough. Electricity (Utility) is the highest in the entire world. Over the 3 years we were there, my normal electricity bill was between 400 and 600 a month. They say Ohana (Family) is everything. Except there are more Pacific Islander Dads that are in jail, Mothers on drugs and kids in foster care. There are more teen-age pregnancies there than any other state. I don't wanna say it's all bad, At least a box of cereal is only *$11.00*. We were sad to leave because my Dad is Hawaiian, He said being born there makes you Hawaiian. Like being born in Texas, makes you Texan. (He was born at Tripler.)

I can tell just by the video that each island has a different feel to it. Almost as though they’re detached even though they’re all the same state. I’d love to move there someday but when & how would be a whole different thing I’m in no place to do that right now

I have concerns about the high cost of living and the systemic racism experienced by native people of Hawaii. The number of native people homeless is a blot on the Aloha State.

No. As a native Hawaiian, I advise you to not move here. Development here is rising and the cost of living is pushing natives out. Priced out of paradise.

One thing that can stres Hawaiians out is the utter poverty they live in. How about working 2-3 jobs just to live paycheck to paycheck How about all the wealth that is being pillaged away from Hawaiian hands into American hands?

I noticed that alot of, I guess Hawaiians who are having a problem with the mispronunciation of the Hawaiian words have the same problem when they come to the mainland and try to say the native American language....

Hawaii is one of the worst places in the world to live. Too expensive, poor education, lack of jobs and opportunities, gets boring fast, tons of racism, hate and bitterness, not safe at night. Don't move to Hawaii.

I grew up in Ewa Beach/ Makakilo. It has changed SO much, and not for the better.

This video is already past it's prime. Kailua is waaay over rated!! Not everyone wants to just go play at the beach every day, how boring! I have lived in Kailua (rented) for a year and can't wait to move to another area. Wanted to move to beautiful Kaneohe but got overbid on too many house offers so bought in Aiea.

Kailua (and Kaneohe for that matter) has nothing but houses built in 1950s - 1980s, many less than 1000sf and STILL more than $1M. Nothing but CA transplants in Kailua now that have turned (ruined) it into CA or own most of the properties to rent to military families at robbery rent prices. Kailua is definitely not worth it. Unless you're from CA that is (and then you'd also probably prefer Maui). 😂

I lived in Hawaii for four years..in Ewa (not Ewa Beach)...It was a 40 minute drive on H-1 to get to Hickam AFB each morning, but those years (1996 to 2000) were some of the best years of my life...I loved Hawaii...In 2000, three months before I was stationed to Nevada, my daughter was born in Honolulu...At Tripler Hospital...aka the big pink hospital on the hill..
