Sonic movie 2 feels like I'm back in grandparents house playing sonic&knuckles on their big screen for hours
Actually amazing how they managed to get him so pinpoint perfect when most other franchises or hell even their own franchise gets their characters so wrong

There are some issues with Knuckles
Mainly Idris Elba voice acting
I think he misses some range/nuances in the delivery but other than that he was great.
Honestly, my fav voice for him

Why the Hell do people like this red savage caveman so much? All he did for the whole movie was abuse Sonic and thirst for blood like a madman, and he got NO COMEUPPANCE WHATSOEVER for anything he did! Hell, he didn't even regret anything he'd done! His family ORPHANED Sonic, and he still worships them!

Something tells me that Sonic 2's writers hate Sonic's gut for some reason.

No matter what happens, I PRAY TO GOD that Sonic 3 has a more satisfying ending than Sonic 2 did. But that's a pretty low bar to meet.

I'm just glad you mentioned the one thing that I was wondering if other people noticed: HE INTERACTED WITH TAILS. And it was some very cute interaction! I could really see Knuckles becoming like a protective older brother to Tails, who perhaps pushes him to strive harder, while Sonic is more like the fun older brother, who may be more laidback, and it could work really well.

I love how he is portrayed so well, like Knuckles isn't stupid, he is a lot of things, just not stupid. And they finally created the perfect formula to create the perfect version of Knuckles! Knuckles literally is from a race that is hundreds of years old, it's only natural that he is a bit confused and doesn't know what he's doing right or wrong in a situation in modern life, I mean hell, Sonic even referred to the cop guy that's with him as the donut lord

I hope that if we get a third film that they treat knuckles with respect if he ends up fighting shadow. Shadow can win but knuckles pushes him like how he did in the original cut of sonic x. Actually removing his inhibiter rings to fight him.

Yup. Knuckles was never literally fully naive what sega once did in sonic adventure 1. We know from sonic 3 and the movie sequel ofc (It was that worth that i could watch it again) that knuckles just does what he thinks will be right. But he wants to get straight to the point afterall lel. Just... Sega lately wastes potential of our favorite bois. The bois, characters that we only know the best, and sega shouldn't think they can just make it different or even worse.

On a different note,I think it'd be cool to do a vid on the genius of the death egg robot in the sonic 2 game. The theme,the fact that he needs 12 hits instead of 8,and even how hard it is to hit the dang thing. Just very interesting. Cant wait to see your next video! ❤️

hes rougher than the rest of em, tougher than leather, they call him knuckles, and unlike sonic he doesnt chuckle, he'd rather flex his muscles. He's hard as nails, it ain't hard to tell, he'll break em down wether they solid or frail. Unlike the rest of em he's independent since his first breath, feel the right when the wrong's left. This allegiance is only temporary.....

That's just the thing with Knuckles. His lack of social interaction and being from a tribe that taught him to be honorable left him unaware of the very concept that someone could be deceiving him. He acts based on what he knows, and Robotnik made use of Knuckles' naive and sheltered life. Knuckles was still smart enough to figure out how to defeat Sonic, and was beginning to have doubts about what he was doing when he saw Sonic go after Tails instead of the compass Eggman stole, showing Knux that Sonic does have a sense of honor to not leave a friend behind.
Knuckles was true to his very first appearance. A serious but still somewhat goofy rival that became an ally when the truth was revealed. As time went on, Knuckles' lack of a true rivalry with Sonic led to his "rough and serious warrior" side being overshadowed by his goofy antics.
Keep in mind, I do not consider Movie Knuckles, OG Knuckles and Boom Knuckles to be the same character. Boom Knuckles is a total idiot (though sometimes with some smart moments), OG Knuckles is a cool rival that has become an idiot due to that part being the most focused on in recent games. And Movie Knuckles is the way Knuckles was supposed to be, the perfect Knuckles.
