I just can't really imagine that the Games, of that time, really opened at August 8, 2008 (08-08-08) at the 8th second of the 8th minute of the 8th hour of the evening. This had also been my 13th birthday, by the way. The timing and details of the ceremony is full of sophistication, that made it too advanced of its time.

Beijing was the best

Beijing 2008 was the first time I got interested in the Olympics and it was the first ceremony I watched on tv. And it was simply amazing, definitely one of the reasons I've not lost interest on it wa because of the opening ceremonies each year.

I've watched the full version of the Tokyo Olympics 2021. Don't get me wrong, Tokyo 2020/2021 was also grand considering the fact that it was the most expensive olympic games of all time. Yet we can't deny the fact that Beijing set the pedestal too high!!! Indeed a spectacle to watch.
