The biggest Sci-Fi aspect here is who the bosses are.

I correctly guessed at who is the A.I. fairly early on. Still, it was well done and worth a watch.

Didn't think I'd ever see a black person, and a woman at that, as the villain in any contemporary film. Kudos for that. Still, overall quite stupid. What was the point of locking up those three humans and setting them up against each other? And why would they start attacking each other just because one of them could be an AI? After all, we're not talking about vampires or werewolves here. And what about the highly questionable ethics of doing this kind of "experiment"? This certainly felt nothing like any real company or research facility. It's a naive artificial set-up.

There goes DUST again, always seasoned with a little NWO salt & pepper of social programming.

Hate to break the 666 comments but...is this a comedy? Cause it's funny as fu@k! What is this dialogue? I mean, I get that it's a short film but the sudden change in the characters already lacking personalities is jarring. The 'twist', if you can call it one, is so obviously obvious that I thought I was being faked out, but...nope, was just obvious, nothing more.
Jesus wept, what are they running away from after she saves him? Just overly dramatic I felt, in almost every way.

Saw the twist coming from a mile away, and that is by no means a criticism. Beautiful work.

Proof that production value cannot make up for a complete lack of story with an obvious ending.

This was one of the most beautiful classic post-modern sci-fi movies I have ever seen. Complete immersion, and with very subtle undertones about humanity all throughout. The acting was incredible, especially by Mother, and the uptick in tension was palpable but still very well-managed.

And the soundtrack!

It literally does not get better than this! 10/10!!

I learned around 23 years ago that it's all about money. The more you got the more come nibbling to catch the big fish.

Slightly reminds me of an episode from the original Twilight Zone, titled, "The Lateness of the Hour," starring Inger Stevens.

Given that she almost got the man killed, he should have said, "Over my dead body..." only to find she was also artificial. Now that's a plot twist. It would be about the AI trying to manufacture more "perfectly imperfect AI" to fit into civilization...THINK! Oh, yes...one more thing; doesn't anyone care about the two employees who are now up for attempted murder and assault, and the employer's liability for gross civil rights violations? Does anyone actually think when they write this crap?

The first " human" robot is always a female

So in future Humans will create robots to love in order to minimize the horror of heartbreaks. Hmmmmmm....

A little predictable. I love that the scientists are told to question and expose, and instead, they accuse and attack.

Unfortunately, with man desire to ask question of; Who are we, and Are we strong enough to play beyond God? The ultimate question that many of us should be asking: Are we prepare to pay the price for being God?

Loved this - and it made me think. The comment about feeling robots created by unfeeling (jaded, in this case) humans not ending well seems to be sadly true. But it may be just where our consumer society is going, because on some level, I think that is what is desired in our capitalist system. First we are asked what love means to us in various ways - some direct, some indirect ways - using that data we are fed a version of love that can be controlled and consumed, with $manipulators$ pulling the strings. Isn't that what 'The Bachelor' and the 'Bachelorette' are all about? And weddings ... She is right - she has billions in profits ahead of her. And, she can make the mate that she wants, since that other 'thing' did not work out for her. I'm referring to her wistful glance at the photo.

The R & D model might cost Billions as someone said, but was production driven by demand would bring the price down quickly to say the first 2 - 5 years of marriage. Many people if presented with a cost analysis AI vs real partner would op for the AI and in 20 - 30 years man(woman)kind would be on the road to extinction. If the whole person could be uploaded into one of the AI shells this might be a better path to human evolution. Co-existing with full Ads and human-AI hybrids might lead to a saner and happier world. Yes, I think writers tipped hand too early with the hot, passionate scene right out of the gate with the director's daughter.

Given this is made in SA, however, you could add enough about racial interaction to fuel a few PhDs. Not to mention the morals and ethics of machines providing simulation of human emotion and interaction. The makers of this deserve to go far.
