00:05 In this modelling project, I am finishing the multipart project of the Bell Huey Iroquois UH-1C variant in scale 1 to 35 from Revell.
02:23 Did some work off camera. The green color that I used is deep green because I didn't have what the manual says.
02:30 Merging & gluing. As always, will be preparing/finishing parts, off camera.
02:37 ATTENTION! Keep always in mind that after gluing, painting, etc to let things dry.
04:04 Filled with plastic putty the holes on the landing skids & keep on assembling.
04:35 Placed the bottom glasses & covered them with masking tape. Will do the same at some point to the rest of the glass pieces.
06:22 Widened these cutouts because I couldn't place this otherwise.
08:34 Using blu tack placed the sliding door panels in closed position for the painting job. Afterwards, I will have them in open position. The weapon systems will be removed for the painting job too.
10:15 German panzer grey primer & airbrushing. 2 coatings, 1 off camera.
11:40 2 coatings with US olive drab.
13:01 US olive drab & little bit yellow for the highlights job.
14:02 Did these lights with red, the door latches & the speed checker (pitot tube) with gray.
14:15 Painting with NATO black.
14:37 Gunmetal gray.
15:25 Iron gray/silver.
15:59 Gold.
16:24 Glossy varnish. 1 coating on camera & 2 coatings off camera.
16:45 I did some painting & decals off camera accidentally😅I thought I had turned the camera on🤣
16:51 Mig's decal set before placing the decals & Mig's decal fix afterwards. The 1st prepares the surface & the 2nd takes care of any curves, bumps, etc.
18:07 Pressing with a cotton swab to take away the excess air or liquids below the decal without damaging it.
18:22 When things have dried very well then we use the decal fix. Depending on the decals placement you may need to coat twice.
19:19 This big decal, I did it off camera because of the difficulty thanks to its multiple parts, the bumps & curves of the helicopter, etc.
22:42 Finished the decals.
22:52 Gluing the sliding door panel in open position.
23:08 Gluing the rest of the stuff except the blades which I will do last.
23:19 Placed some extra stuff, off camera, like ammo, weapons, etc.
23:43 Enamel dark brown washing. Will fix any issues later on.
24:54 Enamel thinner & fixing the washing issues.
25:18 Back on the washing.
26:00 Back to fixing the washing issues.
26:57 Removing the masking tape. Wish me luck😅
27:19 Unfortunately I had some unexpected issues with the masking tape, on some glasses worse than others. Sith happens. Yeah that old joke... again🤣
28:02 Attaching the blades which I had prepared off camera.
28:27 Super gluing, including the 2 times broken piece😅
28:40 Besides few issues here & there, I think it turned out quite well😊
