I looked at these just before I bought a foil, and now after two sessions. I expect I'll keep viewing these for a long time! It was recommended by a couple of relative newby foilers that I remove the back footstraps, as they would just get in the way - but its hard to lock down that back heel then! However, I was in 10 gusting 30 knots, so perhaps it worked anyway for the conditions, because in the big gusts I had my back foot up near my front to keep the foil down (with a super-flat 4.0 sail). I was very surprised that I was on the foil in semi-control most of the time.

Hi Sam, I'm having trouble getting sustained flights, it's as I have to put too much pressure on the back foot. I'm using the NP Alu Foil on a Starboard Formula 160. I am foiling (but not consistently) but it seems on your videos that you are much more forward (body) putting pressure on the front wing, right? Maybe I should trim the back wing a little, changing its angle so that it helps the board rise.... any thoughts? Thanks!

Great camera work. Is that another foiler or a drone, as it seems to smooth to be hull borne
