How did you keep the objects from sticking to the caulk without spraying them with cooking spray? I did a few without that step and the sculpts were irreparably ruined because i couldn't get to silicone off them. Maybe it's just the material I used though, i was casting thermoplastic in the caulk

THIS is a very informative and 💵💵💵 idea and I, for one, can’t wait to try it out! Do you have any suggestions as to the required ratio of cornstarch to silicone?

Hope you see this. I’m wondering if you think this would work as a way to make a twisty river mold for a fairy garden. Maybe 24” long but really only 1/4-1/2” thick. Kinda free form. Then I’d pour my resin in, harden, and I could sink into my dirt outside.

I've been a resin crafter for about a decade now and I've never seen someone apply fire while they pour. Will definitely be trying both the cornstarch and the fire technique ! Thanks for sharing

Have you ever tried using this method for plaster of Paris? I used a method where it replaced the corn starch with dish soap. I found it didn't let the plaster cure. This might work better, worth the experiment for me anyway. I could use some help with that medium. Can't afford resin yet

Edit: looking more into your channel I doubt very much you happen to have the answers I seek. Looks like I'll be doing some experiments after all! Looking forward to your pool cue videos! And thanks for this one btw, it gives me hope that I was on the right track. Just needed attention to some variables I guess

I have been fussing with epoxy for 10 years and never once did I consider hitting it with the torch as I pour. Ya just blew my mind and solved a decade of screaming at bubbles. Lmao all that and it ain't even what this video was about!!! Thank ya!!!
