Very simple and straightforward. The item is not owned by Amazon so Amazon does not have the right to just replace an item from one seller with another sellers item.

And not only you, anybody who is reading this comment, please ask the csa to transfer to a supervisor if you are not getting the expected resolution. We would be more than happy to escalate the issue . But, you have to ask for it. If you dont, we can't do the transfer.
ОтветитьEverytime I call Amazon customer service, it's just an Indian call center representative ignoring everything I am saying, while listening to themselves talk. I had an expensive delivery sent to the wrong address and the Indian lady blamed me instead

ОтветитьThe Problem with sites like these; is not the website or the merchandise. It is vendors and the customer service reps. If a vendor is fraudulent, false advertising or failed to ship out an order. The customer is to contact Customer Service, who in return mostly behave like rude idiots. With all websites like these there is a risk of criminal scams that advertise merchandise just to get a quick buck. They do not send out the order (because they do not have the merchandise), this is a fool's crime, they rarely get more than 20 to 100 dollars. From experience I can say all Customer Service Reps of websites like these are crappy. And it is scarce to access a good rep on many webstores. Many websites like these tend to have a Customer Service department that is rude, and not professional towards the customer. The customer has to recall until they reach a rep that is of integrity, and not some nincompoop. I like a bargain, so ignorant lazy crooks, and rude service will not deter me from a good deal!!! A better question is "Does customers outside of the United States share in the terrible experience from Customer Service?"

However the agent was not clear in explaining the company policy to him...
Basically they dont own the item...
And Amazon policy does not have a option to pay the difference...
The caller should under understand...that she is not the company...she has to follow the company guidelines...she has no athourity or decision making ability..
While im not familiar with Amazon's policies i would assume that its provided to the buyer when purchasing...

ОтветитьI'm sorry but this guy just doesn't get it. He keeps accusing every CSA in this comment section of not listening but he's the one not listening. How can an agent front the difference if the item is sold by a Third Party Seller? It's only distributed by Amazon
That said, I do feel for the guy. He is being polite despite his frustration so I wish Amazon would explain what Third Party Seller policies are vs what Amazon's policies are
Put plainly, she wasn't just going by "what the computer is telling" her. If its sold by a Third Party Seller but fulfilled by Amazon, agents can only refund. They do not have the item in stock for a replacement. It's even worse when it's sold and fulfilled by a Third Party Seller. In that case, agents can't even refund. They can only reach out to the seller on your behalf
However customers need to check who the seller is BEFORE buying their product so they know what can and can't be done by Amazon agents if something goes wrong. If it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon, the customer experience is much smoother because then a refund, duscount or a replacement is likely available

So you bought it from a different seller, Amazon in this case is just the middle-man basically, Amazon DON'T produce your item.. now the seller included a faulty item in the box and is now out of stock, in this case it's only fair to expect from Amazon to refund you for the faulty item. But instead, you want them to buy you the item from a different seller for a higher price and send to you!? are u for real?! Neh man you don't deserve more than what you paid.
Despite this guy was not satisfied with the solution, was nice and calm, it is something we thank from customers as customer service agents

ОтветитьThere are some cases that you bought the item that is being sold by a third party seller. And when you checked it on the website, it is now being sold and dispatches by amazon. And it doesn't mean that if the item is being sold and dispatch by amazon, it always have an option for replacement. As a. Customer service representative from Amazon, every faulty item has only 20% chance to have a return on replacement. But for the rest, most option would always be a return on refund. And if incase that you will be paying for the postage fee to return the item, you can provide the receipt once you call again and Amazon will do their best to process you the refund for the postage and for the returned faulty item. Then you can reorder the item again.

ОтветитьSeems Amazon service as well as their A to Z guarantee has gone down the toilet. Seems about 30% of my orders are now late or get lost in transit. I'm now considering dropping Amazon and finding deals online bypassing Amazon altogether. At this pace, I'm sure more and more people will feel the same way and start ordering from other retailers

i read further down your solution is a price diferrence? wich is an option and can be used by csa, why dont you give your phone number on the video and let a csa from here call you with the solution already in hand? Or you cal the csa and solution ditectly the problem? Its a bit off hook because csa arent allowed to chat with customers outside the amazon cs workplace but for the seik of getting the solution it could be the way to consider
I worked for Amazon customer service and i now respect any representative of any company, i would get frustrated though if its a scam type situation buy other than that i know what pain it is goin through a call and having to resolve shit agressive customers all day long for some bucks

I.M from india and in india amazon let's there employs work from home with there gear and i .m annoyed by the costumer care services and i think i lost a 50 dollars

ОтветитьReally tough situation, also a rep from Amazon over here, Amazon orders can be process in 3 ways the item is sold by Amazon and ship from a Amazon fulfillment center, so Amazon purchase directly from the manufacture the items and have complete control of the supply, but also there's items that are just fulfill by Amazon meaning a seller purchase stuff from the manufacture and send that supply to an Amazon warehouse to handle all the inventory and supply. the third is when a seller handle they own supply chain and ship the item from their own warehouse ( for this ones the options are quite limited and more manual), So far in your case it was the 2th case an item fulfill by Amazon, normally we can process replacements for items sold by Amazon, in some cases also for items coming from another seller that rent Amazon warehouses to ship your order, but that option mostly depend if the item still available in the website, since a replacement is like a new order but for $0, I see that this item is a collector item normally if a seller had used a warehouse from Amazon to handle all the inventory they just send a limited quantity of supply so if the item is show as not available a direct replacement cannot being created, per current policies this case actually could have a price match on the reorder of the item, so a resolution will include the advance refund to your gift card balance ( this process within hours), some kind of promo for the price difference on the new order, also sometimes normal retail reps doesn't have the option for a replacement for fulfill by Amazon items , but we can actually escalate this during the call with someone who have the permits to create such replacement.

Those agents are only doing what they can and customers like this is too stubborn to understand that they only have certain options available. Pfft. Either keep your item and shut up or send it back, get a refund and then reorder it.
