You've also got to bare in mind the fact that you'd be using different blocks if you started the world without the resource pack. So if you then changed to your current one then the world would look equally as weird

Personally, I like it without the resource pack and shaders. The pack + shaders were too bright. Everything looked like shiny plastic, but I acknowledge I'm in the minority of players that doesn't like bright, vibrant colors and doesn't like using super bright shaders or resource packs.

That said, it's purely subjective and it's YOUR world, so you use what YOU like.

I dont blame anyone for using resource packs, I just personally feel weird knowing that what I've made may look different to someone else if it's on a server or along those lines.
Really just an insecurity.

However, in all other instances—especially within the confines of your single-player world—it shouldn't make any difference.

you should try your bare bones texture paired with the super-duper vanilla shader pack, it would make your world look incredible.

What sound mod are you using?

If the mod Distant Horizons ever becomes compatible with shaders (it might not) you should enable it. It creates LODs that allow you to see farther away by over 100 extra chunks possibly. It's pretty neat, but, again, is incompatible with shaders unfortunately.

I think people don't get how art works. When they say "i bet that looks awful in normal minecraft" it's basically like telling an artist "I bet if i changed the entire color palette of your painting it won't look as good" like... Sherlock? Holmes? Messing with art makes it worse? Who could have thought.

Mojang needs to make the Mainstream Minecraft game look like the trailers. Also, they should most likely hire the Moders so Minecraft can be as they promised.

It totally depends on what resource pack you use for a build to look horrible without a resource pack. This is due to the fact that some resource packs just change the look of the game entirely, and some blocks look totally different both in vibe and even colour.

I don't understand the whole "it only looks good with the texture pack" thing... like, I built it with the pack on... why would it be made to look good without the pack?

I think if you've been playing with the bare bones pack for so long, it is going to be very jarring switching back to see the vanilla textures. I always play vanilla, so I still thought the house and everything looked really good. It really wasn't a big change to me! I still think the map is really cool.

Please make something like this for us on Xbox, the store's full of stuff that looks dreadful

Texture packs are great idk what people are talking about, I always play with Golden Days for example, sure some builds only look good with the specific texture pack they were made with in mind, some don't look good with any texture pack, idk why it matters to literally anyone, maybe it's a jealousy thing
My opinions:
*I think the texture pack looks better without shaders, I think shaders look better with default or more detailed packs
*Some of the build looks better with the texture pack like the exterior of the house and the leaves of the tree (which I was surprised by, I was expecting it to look better without becus I don't really like the solid colored leaves), but some stuff looks better without like the interior of the house and some of the more detailed builds, overall tho it doesn't look that much better or worse, which makes sense since the texture isn't that far off from vanilla

I think one of the great things about Minecraft are the variety of texture packs you can apply to your game. I think for your world the way you designed it it looks really good with the texture packs applied. I think that's what makes your world unique is the lens through which you view it.

People who complain about RP shit are insufferably annoying. Get a 4090 and experience this game like no other. It rocks.

i totally feel your freaking out. I hate the way the default textures look. I always play with Aaron's Quadral. The lighting with the shaders is so much better

Can you do the pack for Minecraft bedrock please, the more everyone can show love towards bedrock in modding and texture packs the more Mojang can bring to us since mostly everyone is using bedrock due to consoles and PC unless if your a content creator using Java
