rally racing rewards the smart & patient.but IMMEDIATELY punishes the careless & greedy.they seem to forget, to finish first, first you must FINISH. you cant win a stage in a ditch upside down in a destroyed car.but you CAN lose thousands of hours & dollars in 5 seconds.

I have a dislike for the spectators at these events they're looking for disaster and cheering it and running up to the car and hounding the driver are you okay are you okay before the car is even stopped moving . Despicable.

After work, i only had a couple hours before it got dark so i drove the dirt roads as fast as i could to go fishing. When i turned 18 i was a natural. The stock 2300cc class was so much fun. Mostly used pinto coups, they usually held up all year if you didn't crash to bad.

The public hasn't learned much since the Group B disasters. IMO the organizers should take note before some serious accident happens to the crowd and these fantastic rallyes will be forbidden.

Now THAT is driving. This beats hell out of ANY other kind of race. They dont measure these cars in MPH, they measure them in ounces of adrenaline per second !!! I would love to drive on one of these races or even be navigator. That's got to be the biggest rush ever . Going on board for the ride, not having much to do with whether one lives or dies . Wooo eee !!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish they ran rallies in the United States .
