if you use your survival tool on defense mode you can destroy trees and it will give you wood too just little slower

I am totally new to this game. When you say your are going to put stuff down you do not explain what you are about to deploy, and how to do that. This was not a good video for me. You need to be more detailed as to what does what. What buttons to press, how to do it with detail. Not a hate comment, but you suck as a teacher for those of us that have never played. No offense, man!

Is reforged eden some type of expansion? I have empirion but haven't really put too much time into it

I have a lot of fun in early game but once I get well established I start to get bored. I enjoy the low lvl struggle most.

Nice video Mike, I think newer players or players coming into the game especially will appreciate the tutorial stuff you are doing, I think Empyrion has a steep learning curve and lots of people will find these sorts of videos really useful!

I remember a while back I started following miketanic when he was doing a tutoriol....it ended in an alcoholic Talon massacring mess!

Will there be a segment of the guide that teaches us how to feed our base to Godzilla, how to immolate ourselves with rocket launchers and kablamies, obsess over our imaginary npc friends, how to manage your inventory during combat, how to use elevators upside down, faceplant assault tactics, how to never use a suit light or how to make asymmetrical and awkward builds? Seriously though, you should check out RE 1.2 (just released), they redid the missions, the tech tree and a lot of the items. They did a major rewrite, it's pretty cool.

Hey miketanic I new you could not stay away from Empyrion for long! Which is great for us viewers and fans cause your funny comes out the best here! Man I miss the good old days when the survival constructor acted like a fridge. "Down The Rabbit Hole" from Alice In Wonderland! Now the strategy games are cool but kind of dry with all the micro management neededBut I know you are amazing at that sort of game also! Just not very funny and your true crazy self does not really come out to play!! Lol

alien thorn is for meds in vanilla it may have another use in reforged eden

Good tip for new folks. ALWAYS try to keep ration bars and o2 in your survival constructor. You can always use them directly from there so it doesnt count against your capacity and it is good to have that stash if you get stuck somewhere like the depths of space 5k away from your ship.
