RODE SmartLav+ Review - Best SmartPhone Microphone?

For a paid app there should really have Ozone Dynamic EQ to cut the lows and muddy frequencies, would save a lot of time instead of putting it to FL everytime. Also really bad that the free app only has wave export, 320 kbps mp3 is ideal for voice only

Great review. The foam orb is not a windscreen tho, but a pop filter.

It doesn’t sound good to my ears. It’s muffled and has some kind of mid/low distortion going on.

Great review! I purchased my SmartLav+ a bit over a year ago, and the only way to connect it to my PC was through a PS4 controller...

Strange, I know, but the regular mic ports don't work with it (neither the front, nor on the back), and it never worked with my phone (Android). I recently purchased the SC3, expecting it to solve the PC regular mic port issue and the phone issue, but... no. It doesn't work.

The bigger problem is that it now doesn't work through my PS4 controller either! Not because of the SC3, but something has changed in Windows 10, it recognizes the controller differently now. There was a change in the controller's name inside Win10 in the last 5-12 months (can't remember when I noticed), and since then it doesn't work. I connected a regular gaming headset to the controller and the headset's mic is working normally, only the SmartLav+ doesn't. And now I cannot record with my SmartLav+ at all...

What could be the issue? Can you (or anyone else reading this) help?

Can this be used with the iPhone's own voice recording app?

Can it be used for conference calls (on MS Teams or Zoom etc)? Is it recommended for that type of application?

Can it be used with a bluetooth adapter (like Sony SBH24)? and then used as input for laptop? I guess, can it be converted into bluetooth/wireless microphone?
