I thought the movie was excellent! Father Rupert Mayer was a courageous priest who continued to preach about the danger of the Nazi Regime! He spoke of Hitler of being the anti Christ, because he killed And imprisoned Jewish people, Gypsies, political dissidents, Polish citizens! The number of people who died at the hands of the Nazis was over 11 million! Only the brave and courageous people spoke against the evil regime! Father Rupert Mayer was one of the courageous! Ask your self what would you do, bow to the evil Nazi regime or speak against the evil regime and risk your life?

I guess if you are very religious you can overlook the horrific acting. If you are a deacon, you won’t mind the ludicrously hilarious battle scenes, (5 trees, 5 soldiers with rifles, facing each other 5 feet apart, slowly walking AWAY from tree to endlessly aim at reflection like soldiers),
A priest could find great entertainment from the melodramatic, and predictably riteous priest.
You deserve to be sainted if you watched this production twice.

He just couldn't help himself about talking out against the Nazi party. And heaps of Jews did fight for Germany in ww1 but unfortunately 20yrs later, like he said what have you done to Fatherland because this wasn't right The big question is when you know something isn't right and not saying anything is just as bad. But no one won'ts to die for speaking out. But being a Preacher man you can get away with a lot. But he's lucky not to have been shot. My Father was born in Hamburg Germany in 1928 so by the time being,, You had to be careful with not to listen to the BBC'S radio and not to mention that Hitler is going to get us all killed. Stuff like that,, But my Father was in the Army for the last 9 months of the war. He was lucky to have made it throw. Just like the Priest 👌
