Have to use mi flash version 2017 only can works. Version 2021 cannot work.

The Note 8 China version supports LTE Band: 1, 3, 5, 8, 38, 40, 41 but Global version supports LTE Band: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40. Redmi Note 8 basically has only one LTE Frequency Band 5 for Canadian Mobile Carriers. BE AWARE of this. LTE Band: 2, 4, 5, 7, 12 are suppported by most Canadian carriers.
