In this video I show you how I made the first of my station buildings from card for the head of my platforms. This beautiful but run-down and grubby station building is based on the railway station at Chester and being low-relief, is only 3cm deep. I scratch-built the station building from card and wired LED lights into it to give it some atmosphere. The lighting is passed to the station canopy via wire contacts which means that the canopy can remain completely removable.

All of the buildings on my layout are scratch-built from card and this low-relief station building is no different. I show the techniques I used and some of the issues I encountered.

Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions about this building or the techniques I used and I will answer you.

In the video, I mention John's channel, Exehaven Harbour, and it's here if you want to check it out. It's definitely worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuCoEWSwtOGJRX2FUc1_0-w
