What makes this Korean? My grandma made this all my life until she passed and I’ve been making since I was probably 13-14. I make her recipe. It’s almost identical to this. Very delicious! But curious what makes it Korean.

What’s Korean about this? Every homemade strawberry milk is just strawberry syrup with milk. I think it’s interesting because I see a lot of common western food that’s become popular in Korea, and then suddenly everybody starts calling the food item Korean when the recipe is the same. I understand things like corndogs, because that really is a specific style of corndog, but I don’t get it for stuff like this. I’ve seen Korean cheesecake, Korean grilled cheese, Korean french toast, the list goes on, but they always seem to be very generic recipes.

I wish I could drink it but I can’t. I’m allergic to strawberries 🥲

Recipe:

1.5 lb of Fresh Strawberries
¼ cup of Sugar
3 tablespoons of Honey
1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice

Add 2-4 tbsp syrup to milk with ice and enjoy!

Can I use frozen strawberries instead
