The first movie was way better. The emphasis in the first movie is that kaiju and Jaegars are playing to kill each other, every move is very important. It explained and showed very well that Jaegars are Jaegars. You felt that they were giant robots. These were the things that made the movie a movie. They added a few unnecessary children and removed these features. It's the same in almost all movies. Movies that used to be great are now adding 2 or 3 children and their best features are being erased. (Pacific Rim > Pacific Rim apraysing xd

they kind of did good for saber athena,
As you see athena uses her legs to kick alot because that's probably to stun the kaiju and attack with her blades or lightsabers idk, The armor actually looks light and actually can be good for running quickly.
Now for guardian bravo they did decent,
Now guardian did not really get affected affected that much from the mega kaiju's ground attack but was too selfless and didn't think about the results if he failed which ended in him breaking.

Watching this really makes me appreciate the first movie more. Why they have to change nothing was wrong. This just feels like a power rangers episode now if I'm honest and the fact they sent minors to fight the most important war in their history :(

yeah lobbing the buildings at the kaiju was probably not the best idea cuz thats just senseless destruction that vould definitely be avoided. Plus maybe they werent all evacuated 😅

No weight behind anything,half the city killed, jaegers did more destroying, kicks instead of using the swords, having teenagers control billion dollar mechs, trust teenagers to save a whole damn city, smh

I laughed at that to be honest. I love the first movie a little bit better because if gave more of actual fighting. Each blow meant to kill. But this one makes sense. Their younger and less experienced with this stuff. They are still a bit immature but when you break it down they are actively trying to beat the kaiju. They just aren't as strong as the pilots in first movie, which makes it a bit more difficult for them to beat the kaijus. These kaijus are also stronger than the ones from the first movie. They haven't been seen before compared to the ones that were clones, and the kept seeing the same ones over and over again. It's great movie and shows the difference between experienced adults, and inexperienced teens.

Still waiting for a Godzilla X pacific Rim crossover

i just noticed we went from ex military pilots fighting kaijus in the first movie to kids fighting like on power rangers on this piece of crap

The damage the city more than kaiju bec it is no their town

in the first movie theres a reason the kaijus came out at night

I miss how the jeagers used to look like actual gigantic robots. They used to look heavy even when they move and They have a slight delay when the pilots move making them look like actual machines.

But in this movie. They moved like there's no weight on them, making it look like a gigantic human wearing a suit. I don't watch the movie but from the clips I see, I think the jeagers did more damage to the city than the monster did.
