3 wire corner grounded deltas always screw me up. You should see ppls faces when I tell them they have to bond a phase to the neutral for it to work 😂

First of all you are talking about star and delta connections. So you need to talk about how to connect three windings in star or delta. You have complicated a simple concept

Why starting current(inrush) reduces in star?and How?

At balance condition of 3phase wye connection, the In = 0.
But if in unbalance condition, In > 0.

With some large motors I have worked on, they transition from, if I remember correctly, Delta to Wye during startup. I think it is something to do with the in-rush but, I would like to better understand these.

Thanks for the explanation. what do you mean by indicating that Y-Connection is needed when a neutral and "two seperate voltages" are needed. As I know in distribution systesms there are 3 voltage lines and a neutral; please clarify for me this point. Many thanks
