Ehhh, make it more of a class-based thing.
Heavy gets CHONKA health and armor, and a massively lowered penalty to speed for bigger guns so they can use it with less relative penalty.
Make a scout with the jumpy boots but a slightly higher penalty for bigger gun movement debuff. Maybe a little more accuracy, and make the Scout cheaper for them lol.
Maybe a Speccy class, who gets cheaper gadgets and throwables, and attachments have increased buffs, and give 'em a few of those BR gadgets too.

If this was in Wing-Man I could see the mode getting a massive spike in popularity. Minus the exo-boots though.

That is good competitive mode, but change need to be made. Playing on only one plant, that is randomly chosen at start of round.
