128gb Raspberry Pi 4 RetroPie Arcade Only Build

Is there an updated image? I need one to work on my pi 4 8gb but it says it needs newer firmware. Needs to be updated to latest version of retropie.

The latest retropie version version forced a different rom set for neogeo have to use an AES set. Which sucks but I guess it's for organization purposes or something who knows

In the Arcade system description on this frontend it's stated that the golden age ranges from the 70's to mid 80's. I know it's usually considered the case, but it's so weird if you think that 85 is exactly the same year more impressive games started coming out, Hang-On (leading to Ourun in the following year and a lot more. While most games prior to that were space single screen shooters and single screen action/platform titles. So I think I can call the following decade the Platinum era of arcade games.

I couldnt get this to work. It just kept saying shelf4.elf not compatible and needs latest sofware. I updated everything but im still getting same message. Ive been on the virtualman forum but they dont reply.

HI Guys having an issue with my monitor. Image works great but my old Lenovo thinkvision is showing me an error to change display to 1680 x 1050 .. I got it to go away by changing a setting in vmans quick display settings , but the message to change comes back during playing the games .. anyone else having issues with vga monitor adapters going from mini hdmi to vga ?

You totally blew over actually GETTING the image. You need to go through all the steps and actually SHOW it and what to click on. From what I see, no images ACTUALLY exist anymore!

you can’t find this or any vman images anymore. Now he has “bundles” and you have to do everything yourself. So basically, there doesn’t seem to be a point to using a “VMan” image anymore because they don’t exist.

What theme is this?

Do i need retro pie with this ?

So when I download the file there are a lot of zip/rar files in it. How do I find the one file I need to mount on the SD Card? Also do I have to copy the zip files to the SD card as well?

Im looking for an image that has the 3DO and Dreamcast already build in... What image can anyone recoment... Ive look in arcadepunks but, there is no description of what emulators are in the image.

So, how do you actually use the ADDON packs? is there a guide for that anywhere? (i.e i installed the 128GB image and want to use a game pack, how?)

Mine was still 115gb on disc and not 99gb when I foramtted the recommended SD card

Glad I started watching your videos. I scooped the arcade build, but I only had a 256g sd available... of course I have been downloading the add-on bundles and I needed more space. I just added a portable 2tb drive after watching your last video and currently transferring Dreamcast as I download the 1200ps1 bundle. I am hoping he gets the psp out soon so I can add those as well. So far this is the best image I have ran. I do have the 256 wolfanoz image as well which is great, but I found myself wanting more. I definitely recommend any of these fine gent 's images!

The Pi4 is now just about worth having over the pi3.

So i managed to get the 128GB img, i burned that onto the SDCard. booted from it on the PI. Is it suppose to autolaunch. I get a blank screen

vman should make an edited version of this without the bezels and optimized for 4:3 or 5:4 ratio for Arcade1Up Mods :)

What size ram are you using for this? I saw A raspberry pi 4 basic model With 8 GB on sale through your Amazon link. Should I get it? What’s the difference between the basic model and the model b? And can I just drag and drop games to add to your image or do need something else to do that?Sorry for the nooby questions, just want to make sure I get the right things before I pull the trigger.
