Love it that you persevered with it…..kudos
ОтветитьI didnt know you were a ferret fan, some of the best people are ferrets ...oh boy going to find part two now 👌
ОтветитьMichelangelo DaVinci?😮🙃
Regardless, I love your videos.❤️
Hi I've just found your channel and subscribed me and my friend have just made a kiln from heat bricks from a wall heater have you any advice. And where or how do you get your crucibles please.
ОтветитьNew to your channel- thanks for posting your journey- enjoyed the content so far! Keep casting mate!
ОтветитьI saw the original at the Louvre and it's really impressive.
If one day you can make a video on the "orange" sand mixer I will be very grateful to you.
Definitely looking forward to part 2 bro 🤙
Ответитьnot super experienced in casting large parts like this but I have done a lot of small jewelry casting. I noticed you dont have a button, which would be ideal imo because the button is always gonna look messed up because thats where the air escapes from. Also I would add some more sprues connecting to the main body just to be safe. I like the worn look though I think its cool also
ОтветитьHi! love the channel, really impressive and you have a great presenting style and a brilliant approach, on this video i have a couple of suggestions....
1, you could scale the figure down a tiny bit before printing (i fully get why you would not want to do this!) maybe would increase the hydrostatic pressure and help with the issues you had with the base... (also, turn off infill! :) )
and
2, you dont need to have the investment in the flask to vacuum the air out, just put it in a jug, vac it, then gently pour into the flask.
it's not as good as vacuuming in the flask but better than nothing.
Smoothing the lines left by printer and parting lines with wax and fingers worked great. Lots of care and hard work went into this piece. Thing about loses is the lessons learned, and when you do get the Goddess of Freedom right the reward will be Epic!
ОтветитьCan you make a sculpture out of my drawing ??
ОтветитьWow so glad I found your channel (lol because of your mosquito comment to me) You are incredibly talented and I look forward to part 2
ОтветитьI would love to see a cluster of quartz crystals cast in bronze, but I bet it would present some challenges.
ОтветитьWould love to see some homemade crucible ideas and videos from you ive been trying to determine whats the safest cheapest easiest homemade crucible one can make
Ответитьamazing work!
ОтветитьConsidering how damaged the original sculupture is I don't think it's a big issue for the casting to have some flaws too
ОтветитьA soldering iron makes quick work of cutting plastics :D It's so hard to gauge the right thickness balance between how much wax to add and how thick to make the walls so the pla ash doesn't be too much of an issue!
Have you considered trying making moulds for your pieces yet, even though it's only a 1 (maybe 2-3 if you're careful) shot thing, alginate is a cheap material to play with, and i think it'll be ok to make a few wax slushes safey so no pla ash issues? xD
How come you're not doing it in ceramic shell for this one?
Бро,что за сплав? сколько меди,сколько олова?
ОтветитьAmazing amount of work to put all the pieces together! You are very talented and I can't wait to see Part II.
ОтветитьHello. Maybe to assembly the pla-figure -> to sand seams etc -> disassembly all or half and casting?
p.s. sorry for baaad English =)
Its a beautiful piece, hope it works out on the second try
ОтветитьNice Object you picked there! Can't wait to see the final version.
ОтветитьNice work buddy
In the Netherlands we sayd,
“Drie maal scheepsrecht,”
It's an old Dutch proverb, it means: the third time will be fine.
hopefully in your case the second try is good.
As always, greetings from the Netherlands
Gertjan
Love your works and tolking about mistake
ОтветитьNice man, can you cast me in bronze when I die many decades down the line?
ОтветитьSuccess consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
Winston Churchill
It is still fun to watch...and learn though
Nice!
ОтветитьLost PLA seems to be much more difficult than the classic Lost Wax style of casting.
