ОтветитьI was at his concerts in chch when i was 14. I wrote up my arm in eyeliner to the keyboard player that i loved him lol... They were awesome and i still love them... Thanks to him, and the band for great times... :-)
ОтветитьGreat video, put a little something on my Blog about this band but unfortunatly not alot of info is available about them. If someone could plesae e-mail me their discography as well as the band members nams it would be very appreciated. Also any other info you wish to include on them would also be helpful.
ОтветитьAhhh OK, thanks
ОтветитьGod, me too!!! My wardrobe door was covered inside and out with posters. I would buy every single mag with info about them. I even got into a scrap with another girl cos she stole one of my posters! Boarding school!
ОтветитьThis is great, but does anybody have a vid of "My Girl Thinks She's Cleopatra"? That was always my favourite!
ОтветитьThe lead singer is Andrew Fagan.
ОтветитьBetter than anything I've heard by The Cure, imo.

ОтветитьGreat 2 c this video again after a few years AOL this video was filmed in Auckland NZ at Victoria park This I know as I am the lady in the back ground spinning ropes. The Mockers were a great band to work with. We all enjoyed a great Chinese meal at tea break, as this took many hours of work. Loved their music both then and now.
Ответить@SuperJenford Thanks for commenting on the clip. Nice rope spinning (and outfit)! Tony
ОтветитьLove them xxx
Ответить@LunaticEntrails Hello from the Central Coast of NSW ! My close friend is David Richards, the Engineer. We still enjoy this blast from the past. David is very proud of his work for the Mockers. Best wishes. Andy
ОтветитьA real blast from the past. You don't see circuses in NZ with wild animals anymore.........
ОтветитьThanks heaps for posting this. Auckland was such a fantastic hometown in the 80s. I used to listen to the Mockers on a transistor radio that I shared with my brother!! Saw Andrew Fagan with his latest band at the Dog's Bollix in 2010 - he's still got a bit of the old magic. :)
Ответитьdoes anyone know if they have a Greatesr Hits album? I'm a kiwi a long way from home and my sister just sent me a greatest hits of NZ album, It made me remember my youth in Levin lol (you can see why I moved to Scotland) and The Mockers and Dance Exponents were a must. I've got Annie, Margret, The Cats Away, Herbs, Che Fu, Split Enz and of course Crowded House, Prince Tui Teka and compliation albums but none of those two. If anyone can recomment a torrent or album I would kiss ur feet xoxox
ОтветитьYes, Mockers Greatest Hits. I've got it too. Buy it from marbecks online or if you're in NZ from the marbecks stores.
ОтветитьI own this as a single on Bubblegum Pink Vinyl!
ОтветитьThese guys were fantastic but I guess we just didn't appreciate it at the time.
ОтветитьI remember the days at the Last Resort in Courtney Place, Fagan getting covered in spit night after night as we all showed our appreciation
Ответитьthe sizzler
ОтветитьThis is totally like British rock in the 80's NZ, England right ?
ОтветитьThis clip was on the August 19th 1985 episode of COUNTDOWN. I taped it off Rage back in 2000 :)
ОтветитьCould be mistaken for Tommy Lee of motley crue
Ответитьsuch cool memories, Andrew used to hang out with a girl I worked with, we were computer ops up on the Terrace, so we worked night shifts, they used to come up and hang out after shows and bring some recreational herbs ... mannn those was the daze!
ОтветитьWicked song.... shame it didn't pick up
Ответитьi remember yje qsr my sisters came from N Ireland
ОтветитьI Lived across the road from him for a short time in the 90s. He drove an old ambulance. Selby Square,St. Marys Bay.
ОтветитьHe was a great live performer back in the 80's!
